The fact he sells them, draws a question mark on his post.
Would a Solo Ad seller say, that he tried Solo Ads and failed miserably and didn't make any money?
Even if he hasn't left a link in the thread, it is still self promotion and soft selling.
This is precisely why so many people get ripped off, get scammed or receive poor service.
They don't do their due diligence and take everything at face value.

He did not show any proof, yes money can be made from Solo Ads but not everybody will.
I wonder how many people PM'ed him and I wonder if he refrained from providing his own link with all of them.

Also the number of sign-ups to his list is look very high to me.

You make a very valid point my post was just to clarify that he wasn't blatantly self promoting.

To clarify the pm I received in response to my question about solo ads for a particular niche he named a few sellers on udimi that would fit my needs (so he searched it for me) told me where to find them and after that he gave a link that he clearly stated was an affiliate link in the case that I might want to sign up under his referral.

I always check links that people send to see if they are trying to sneak a aff. link in on me but he was open and honest with all our communications thus far.

So while I totally see your cause for concern he just hasn't set off any red flags in my opinion. But again, it's just my opinion, so take it for what it's worth.
