Are you sending your traffic to a landing page to "pre-sell" them before or just linking them directly to the offer? This can make a HUGE difference in conversions.

Well, I guess it all depends on the offer. Split test with a lander and without. But, with your conversion ratio, something definitely sounds off.

Keeping track of your traffic sources and behavior is what helps you to further focus your efforts in the right kind of conversion tactics and landing pages, you can have a main landing page and redirect them (.htaccess or similar redirect) for mobile surfers/different countries/etc.

I've had the best results sending traffic to a landing page/squeeze page and collecting the visitors email address and following up with them later. Also this is better for long term success as you get the chance to offer products to the visitor multiple times without any extra effort.

I have like 4.000 non- very targeted hops /day from youtube. Actually linking directly to the product. How would a good landing page look like?

You definitely need to change the way you are promoting the product.
Make a sales pages or a squeeze page before advertising the product itself.

I think in clickbank evrything is normal. You can have 100k hops and no sale and 100 hops and several sales. It's depends on many factors...
I suggest you to experiment more. You must try as many things as you can to succeed. Also, patience is really important. Sometimes you must wait even few months to see results.
