Hi
In a nutshell, I have access to an old domain that gets a ton of traffic in the entertainment (music) niche.
Edit* Check that - it USED to get a ton of traffic. I'd have to check the stats to see if it still does.

It was registered in 1999 - for a music company that merged with a bigger company. For now, the site just redirects to the bigger company site. My partner purchased the domain.

I just want to know how can we make money off of the site. I don't know anything about domain flipping...
Just wanted a quick overview as my partner is asking me how can we make money off of it

Flippa? (It's appraised there? Right?
Domain Parking/Adsense?

Depending on the traffic, sticking CB or CPA offers up there?

Flip it!!

Take a year and put all of your efforts into it. Look especially for PR & BLs. Then sell it as high as you can.

I did one of those free website stats domain deal it said the domain has:
A Page Rank of 5 (that part I understand, lol)
Safety of 90/100
but an alexa ranking of like 5 million something

Sorry for multiple posts.
The site that it's directed to gets a daily visits of 1,779 on avg.

Alexa ranking is just a stat for yourself. It can be faked, and it doesn't matter. If you really have a PR5 domain, you better use it for yourself! Your daily organic( i hope it is) visit is really good too.

by BL, i meant Backlinks. Upload good quality unique content and build high PR backlinks on your niche. Do it for a year and then try to sell it for the price you want to. If you don't get the price, then don't sell it. Wait for another year and do the same ( harder).

If that shit is PR5 and redirects 1700 people per day despite being outdated you better hold on to that gem for dear life.

Ha cheers. It goes both ways - sometimes it's more and sometimes it's less as an average.

Looks like I should build unique content, get some backlinks and flip it.

Question: Would anyone use it for CB?
I also have a budget for this (paid traffic maybe?) but I think CB shuns on paid traffic.

Or is the best bet to just build content around some niche and flip it?

Thoughts?

Serious buyers market trying to selling it without content/Site, just as a Domain. Parking revenues are in the toilet these days. Best bet is to throw some money at it and develop it out, sale it down the road.

If you take your time over getting good content on there, and set it up to get good traffic then you could make some money out of it. I mean thirteen years represents some serious credibility, and it'd be a shame to waste it. So yeah, I think as long as you monetise it right then you could really get something out of flipping that site. Let us know how you go ahead with it; make sure you get diverse backlinks on there.

Cheers. Great guidance. I'm going to develop it with a related-niche and sell some CB products. Since I have some money to put behind it, I suppose PAID TRAFFIC (adwords) would be the best way to go, yes? As far as investment.

I'll go with natural backlinking. I'm afraid to touch any of the Fiverr SEO stuff.
