    1) It's Linux you know that right?
    2) Not bad for sure. I've found sales though where I can get that for $9.99 through my host.

    Cheers

Good for a short term , if you want something reliable try other popular hosts.

It's product ID if you take the time to visit the page before posting and check.

You're right about it being product ID, but I'm still sceptical about any VPS that goes at so low price - those providers either go bust within a year or the service becomes so bad that it's unusable, as low-priced servers get truckloads of accounts loaded onto them.

Yes and No. I've had both experiences. New company offering low end boxes - first year was pretty rocky with downtime (96% uptime avg = horrible). However saying truckloads of accounts get loaded onto low end servers doesn't seem right. This is a VPS, not shared hosting. As such, there is an actual limit to the amount of accounts that can be loaded onto such a server, since there is so much memory and CPU's dedicated.

It's hit and miss for sure with low end servers. However that is also perfect for PBN's :)

Not really correct. OpenVZ, as a type of virtualization, allows for overselling. For example, I can easily fit 100 clients with 1 GB RAM allocated to each on a server that only has 48 GB RAM total. The problems start when fraction of the virtual servers use up all 48 GB of RAM and there's no RAM left for the rest of accounts. This is from my own experience, as we like to do all sorts of experiments here at the office.

Come on guys. The cost of an dedicated IP alone costs a minimum of $2 on these days, Let alone the resources. I've tried several such VPS's when I was a starter and as Divok said, they'll get out of business within 6 months. Most probably they're some teen guys testing out their server management skills from the dorm room. Not all who starts out in a dorm room can become successful like Mark Zuckerburg or Bill Gates or Larry Page & Sergey Brin. Just to name a few..

And here we have it ladies and gentlemen, buy from someone who knows their stuff. Besides, the most experience I have with servers and hosting is that I have a dedicated server on a monthly subscription from a hosting provider, and even I knew that you can oversell :D

That isn't how a VPS works. It depends on what kind of virtualizor you're using. For ex, OpenVZ allows you to create unlimited number of accounts with any given resources. No matter if its a 24GB or 240GB RAM. The memory & CPU resources are not dedicated but shared. I've explained it a little bit on this post : http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...st-windows-vps-you-ever-used.html#post7195180

Glad to hear from you. It appears you are pretty well versed on this topic so I'm not going to argue, but rather learn :) I had assumed "dedicated" meant what I understand "dedicated" to mean, but it appears that doesn't mean what I think it means. I'm going to have to look into this further. Thanks for the heads up.

Been with this company for 2 years and they are getting better and better with some hiccups. Have servers more than capable of running multiple websites on, smaller ones for PBN's, etc. Dedicated IP's for less than $1/m is totally possible. For sure more money will get you more features. But I'm making a PBN on a budget and spending $2/m for an IP just isn't an option. Look harder ;-)

How much did "they" pay you to post on this account?

Why do people jump at the chance of recommending powerup hosting? I've used them before and although the service was great, I did have downtime now and then and I find you can get the exact same product for half he price.
