Lol you would win all 12 hands down

Sweeeeeet I've shared 6 threads in the white hat section in the past 3 weeks.. Do I count? Just kidding :p

Good idea should help get some proper sharing happening around here!

Great giveaway guys! This should really kick off some interesting threads. All the best to everyone participating.

Plz can I haz Jr VIP? I have dreamt of it since i waz a kid and... What? No begging for it? Damn, too much work, I'm out.

All jokes aside, great job guys, excellent boost to the activity of the newer and older members who need a little motivation to contribute! Me, I'd need a Porsche 911 for starters, so when you have that then send me a PM and I'll see about posting something actually useful ;)

It's really really great giveaway. I love the way you make everyone happy .

Good luck everyone.

Thanks. I think a mass of valuable information will be added to BHW thanks to this giveaway.

You crack me up :)

Thanks, that was the idea behind it. It's a win-win-win situation for those who take part, those who learn from what is shared and BHW as a whole.

Yes after reading a little further I don't qualify but I hope you enjoy my would-be entrance to the competition:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...rch-engine-optimization-tactics-new-post.html

I dont see why your post woudnt qualify. You are missing a few posts from the 100 required but you do share information and im sure that those 10 - 15 posts wont be an issue by the end of the month. As far as your post goes it might be nothing special to many people here but you did touch some important points as far as tags and categories go and i hope there will be a newbie or two who will appreciate it ;)

Just a quick tip though you shoud take critique as something constructive there is no point in arguing with senior members espesially people with the skills that W130SN has.Make friends not enemies ;)

Thanks I will contribute as much as I can :) Good luck everyone! ( it is hard not to fight with that guy when he constantly dogs me in posts that pup)

A great way to encourage posts from users with knowledge and experience. Well done!

What about when i make posts to gain knowledge and experience lol Does that class the same?
I also hope the questions i post are general enough to answer other peoples questions rather than repeat multiple threads. Trying my best and will be up there with the best one day. Mark this post!

If you start a thread and the first post is one that others find useful and "thank" you for then, sure, that thread will count in this. As long as it's in one of the three sections mentioned in the opening post of this thread.

Just remember to post back here with a link to the thread you started.

Thanks,

Shez

I really like this initiative but only doubt i have is- If people who can't afford $90 junior VIP membership have anything useful to share. Most of them might just pretend to be a guru to get thanks, like this thread turned out to be- http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...e-optimization-just-google-guru-explains.html

Don't get me wrong, just wanted to share my views, i hope this turn out to be a success.

that is exactly right... more room for little scammers and fakes.

Thanks for the feedback and I hear what you're saying.

This isn't just about someone not being able to afford the $97 Jr VIP membership fee or not. There are members here who are on the cusp of having incredibly useful information to share and to encourage that there's a reward of having their Jr VIP membership paid for.

As seen in the thread that you mentioned there are other members who are very experienced in the world of IM and they're more than able to curtail such threads which is great as that is the community servicing itself which makes BHW the premiere IM forum that it is.

While I wouldn't want to encourage complete trash to be posted around BHW I am quite sure that information of that type would have been posted in BHW and will continue to be posted regardless of threads like this one here.

Open debate and discussions are what we learn from and we're all on different levels to each other which means there is always someone, somewhere, who will benefit from the information posted.

that is exactly right... more room for little scammers and fakes.

There will always be those online regardless of what happens. However, when something like that pops up it is quickly dealt with by experienced members of the forum and, where necessary, a mod. Although I don't think the guy in the thread that was highlighted was trying to scam anyone.

well, apart from the controversial debate going on here, I still would like to participate. But I would not post blindly, I have to do some home work first, and then to share something, which is new and different.

Wish Me Good Luck... as BLUE is my Fav. :)

Personally, I think the selection process is a great idea.

In a lot of giveways the threads get full of people just wanting something for nothing and often they can't even be arsed thanking the OP, let alone contribute anything useful to the forum.

The way Shezboy and Haspel have designed this is encouraging people to contribute to the forum, which is what BHW is all about and we need more of it.

Yes of course some people will post junk and keep their fingers crossed, that's just how some people are. But those posts are going to get no thanks so it doesn't matter. And even then, those posts are going to better than some of the utter drivel that gets posted on a daily basis.

Here's a thought too:

Everyone has skills, knowledge and capabilities they take for granted. But someone else may find that information useful. Sharing is a good thing.

And someone may have a neat little trick they've worked out but they aren't experienced enough to use it to full advantage, or to see it's full potential. Sharing it could be the trigger for someone else to come up with the next genius method. It happens all the time in the business world and I've seen it happen right here on BHW too.

Sharing knowledge is a good thing, so anything that encourages it gets my vote.

And don't forget, the community gets a say in what's good or bad - it has its own, in-built voting system. When was the last time someone posted bullshit and it didn't get spotted and called out in a matter of minutes? One thing BHW excels at is policing itself.

I'm looking forward to seeing what information gets shared because of this thread and I bet there will be some absolute nuggets that come out of the woodwork along the way.

Fair play to you guys, I for one really like what you've come up with.

This is your opportunity to earn your Jr VIP status and then use it to open up doors of opportunity in the IM world.

I understand the intention of this giveaway, but what opportunities are bestowed by Jr. VIP that members don't already have access to? I know there's a private subforum and the ability to sell in the Marketplace, but I don't see how Jr. VIP greatly benefits the average member.

If anything, this seems more like a direct exchange: Paying for Jr. VIP is another way of giving back to the forum, but in the case of this giveaway members "pay" for the Jr. VIP by giving back to the greater forum community.
