Hey guys, just wondering if 10gbs of disk space enough for a website which content is primarily images?

Start with 10GBs and if your site grows as you add more images, simpyl buy bigger hosting plan

It really depends on how many images you want to post

Disk space is one of the cheapest things these days.

Btw, you shouldn't have to open a new thread to ask the same question you asked in one of your previous threads...

If your just starting out. Then it's probably more than enough. I once hosted a coppermine photo gallery that had around 1,000 photos and I didn't even come near 10 GB.

Can't remember how many GB's it actually used. But I'd say it around 2-3 GB.

The thing that counts when hosting images is the image size. Are you willing to host lots of high quality full resolution images of up to 5mb or more per file? If yes, then you probably need more than 10gb. If you're hosting a few hundreds small/medium resolution images, compressed to around 500kb-1mb, then 10gb is more than enough. Make some calculation.

You can even start with 1GB and analyze how the space is filled up, based on that you can calculate how long it will take to reach higher amounts and improve your web hosting.
