1099 misc tax advice

I wanted to know if I'm missing something, but I work for a street sweeping company which doesn't take any type of taxes out my check. My w2 is a 1099 misc. I was wondering if there is anything I'm missing as far as credits and deductions I can take when it comes to filing my taxes? Thanks any help would be appreciated.
