Got a video in my feed which got 10 million views in just few hours. On closer inspection i found that the channel was created a week back and uploads only 5 to 6 seconds clips.

The person is probably testing the YT algo.

Looks like the person just wrote a script that uploads a couple of seconds ripped from that channel (and slightly edits it) and then bots it.

I don't think it's botted views.

Benefit of short 6 seconds video is that every one will watch till the end and the ALGO will mark the video as awesome because of 100% retention which will then push it to more wider audience. I saw this in my feed and was shocked to see 10 mn views for a video uploaded just 10 hours ago.

The comments are botted, so the views (and subs) are probably too.

If it's true, that's a really expensive way to lose money coz this channel will never be monetized and will probably be deleted soon by YT for spam.

How many subscribers that channel has with 6 seconds video which got 10M views?
And did you do proper YouTube+SEO i.e tags and keyword in title etc?

Repetition is the key. It works throughout YT algo. If you post same comment 10 times, instead of considering it spam, YT shows up all your comments on top. He has been flooding his channel with videos. The day before yesterday, he has posted a whopping 22 videos. YT likes people who post a shit ton of vids. A ton of 5-10 seconds vids is the new secret sauce.

I was planning something similar and then saw this. I hope my project will work like this.

When I see stuff like this working, it's always a sobering reminder that 99% of my work is all about being good at flooding the internet with crap lol - - always a very humbling experience.
