There is a lot of talk on X about doing crazy revenue with fully automated agents or OpenClaw on macmini/linux. The number I throw in here is conservative from what I've seen.

The other guy had made a few agents on OpenClaw, like a designer, developer, marketer etc that they all talk to each other and grow the business by themselves. Fully automated.

Yes, I know some of the stories are bs for farming but I'm pretty sure amongst all the crap there is some gold.

I've played with OpenClaw a bit but I do not find it all that much better than ChatGPT. I've build successfully fully functional 1000 line Python scripts exclusively on ChatGPT so I do not see the appeal with OpenClaw except maybe automating some system based cron jobs/reminders etc. at the box.

In any case, if anyone has built something agentic fully automated I'd love to hear more.

What ACTUAL products/services are they promoting? Ask yourself that. Only people I seen making money are open claw installers! lol everyone who uses it seems to lose their money and their inboxes! lol
 
openclaw is too new for anyone to be making serious money with it

A lot of those $100k/month stories are probably just marketing. I think the real value in agent tools is not that they magically build a business by themselves, but that they can automate boring, repeatable workflows between tools.

If ChatGPT already helps you build solid scripts, then you’re right to question the hype. The appeal is more in orchestration and persistence, not some magic jump in intelligence.
 
I don't know if those openclaw stories are real or not but I see some Saas websites achieving crazy amount of money like $$$$$ and some of them ate build and marketed with help of ai.
And they can be checked for their revenue from their stripe data in that website build from Marc lou
 
No matter how much automation you do, AI agents can only do the things we tell them to do. If you have a crazy idea with a great potential, you can definitely seek help of AI to launch a business and grow it. But blindly following influencers bragging about results won't take us anywhere.

Well, the thing that really got my attention and what actually separated the normal AI like chatGPT and say OpenClaw was that I came across several cases that the agents was said to generate ideas and do stuff that they were never told explicitly to do, kind of like AGI.

The human for example ran prompts over several days building a tool on OpenClaw, then the agent learnt stuff about him and started taking initiatives suggesting ideas and doing stuff overnight to name a few. Things that you cannot do with normal AI, including controlling your computer like an agent can do with OpenClaw on a autonomous linux box.

Many of my friends are impressed by OpenClaw but at the same time afraid of security vulnerabilities. They're either running it on VPS or a separate computer.

If they can grow on the existing data+ideas, we can train them with the knowledge and ideas of entrepreneurs, founders, and billionaires instead of our own :D

I have been using openclaw for a couple months now. I’ve incorporated it into my work so not fully automated but maybe 90%.
It pulls data from my scraper, does cold out reach, books appointments into calendar, then automates the services, then sends confirmation and monitors progress most of it is done via cron jobs with the odd prompts here and there.

i have for a few months now, you can easily build anything you want with zapier. make.com and a few other AI agent's. Me I use .NET just because it is what i like to use. and then call the server side or API endpoints. Its a brave world out there right now.

Is this running on a separate machine? Or your own computer? Would love to see a video/writeup of how you built this.

I tested on Amazon Ec2 then when I was comfortable with the settings and security, I bought a Mini Mac and ran it on that. I like to keep personal data separate, although I’ve got a pretty safe set up, just can’t be too careful. It’s pretty simple set up to be honest.
