UPDATE:

Alright guys quick update. I received a phone call today, and set up a meeting for tomorrow at 1pm. Pretty excited about it... I have prepared some screenshots of what he can expect the site to look like. Also what he can expect the postcards to look like.

I have an idea of what to price this dude at, But what do you guys think... What are you guys charging?

Joe

UPDATE:

Alright guys, had my first meeting today. I think it went really well, he liked the idea of the whole concept. Today i pitched the sale manager because thats the way the owner wanted it done, and he said he will call me tomorrow or monday. He said call tuesday if i have not heard from him. Quoted him at 400 for the first month, and 250 for every month after that. He seemed thrilled. (the business owner seems to be absentee) I have a question for you guys though.

Q- when you type in his business name a page comes up that is slamming him. Im not looking to do any negative SEO so how would i go about ranking some web 2.0s ahead of these negative posts? Is there any service you guys know about that i can use for this? Thanks a ton.

Joe

OH wow already a potential customer. way to go mate, I will definitely follow this journey
I am starting mine soon just gathering my leads at the moment I will make sure to start a thread

If it's some small website that is slamming the business then negative seo is the way to go. The guy who is doing the slamming is not probably an angel himself.

I understand i would potentially have to do something like neg seo, what would you consider an effective strategy to getting the post lowered in the serps?

Best of luck. In my experience it's best to stick to a few things and master them.

Neg SEO? assuming that the competitors website is evidently using SEO services I would stay well away from negative seo as that one can bite you in the butt for obvious reasons.
Thats unless you make it clear to your client of what you would have to do for 'quick results' - being there is a high risk involved in getting neg seo as well from their competitors.

just my 2 cents

Neg SEO was probably the wrong phrase to use. I just need to rank some web 2.0s above the negative forum post. Anyone know of a service i can outsource too that offers something like this? Thanks a lot guys.

Joe
