1000 backlinks from one site, good?

Hello guys !

I was watching at a movie list online and couldn't stop myself from reading the comments that were posted by ppl. so I looked at them then noticed one who were creating backlinks to himself. So I took the url and watched how many backlinks he had. Noticed he had only like 250. So I searched his keyword in google(he wasn't at first page not even on second) and find his competitor who is in top.

I took that link and checked the backlinks. Then I noticed that he had 1000 backlinks coming in from just one site!
Is that a good thing?

I mean doesnt google find it a bit suspicious?

It could simply mean that one link appears in a websites sidebar. If there are 1000 pages indexed, then that link would be counted 1000 times.

Its not necessarily a bad thing, but its not ideal either.

Well, if it is a link in the footer, then he has chances to get in all pages. So definetly he get backlinks from all pages, if it has 10,000 pages, he get 10,000 backlinks.

I have one website with 624 379 backlinks from a footer according to webmaster tool.

At the moment it doesn't make any serious difference. But i didn't work on the website properly yet. I believe it will help to get more backlinks as i'll be able to push more than i'm used to.

So is this a good way to get backlinks? I mean are they backlinks that makes some difference not just are there. Like that website I checked up, he had those 1000 backlinks coming in from one site which I guess made him rank top for that keyword.

Going to try to create a blog with some backlinks in the right menu and see if it helps or not

I'm come across that a few times. I don't suppose it'll do any harm (?) but remember to diversify to make your link building seem more natural to google.

People were itching for sitewide backlinks back in the day when reciprocals would actually work. They are fine and even a bit better than a couple links on that same site. But they get progressively devalued the more numerous they are. So for example a sitewide of 1000s may have a similar value of just a few links on the same site. Doesn't hurt though. Just means that site really likes you for some reason. Better than just one link on their site.

if you got a link from the blog roll, it can happen. cause in each page where the blog roll is viewed you will get the link form that page. but its not a problem. Cause the big G will only count a single link from that domain

1k back links spread out over a month or two is more preferable than spread out over a few days.. Also the quality of those back link sites is key. If someone is offering 1k in a few days I would be concerned with the quality of sites as much as the quantity.
