This one sounds like scam but it is no scam.
The businesses are paying for the rankings and as long as rankings are there., this friends of ste is keeping his end of the bargain.

This is smart selling.

Those who are calling it scam - what about posting comments on blogs to sell the admin some SEO plugin

OR

making splogs to sell weight loss pills

There is no difference.

I really am a cunt inside.
You must help him at least with first few clients and walk him into the basics. And you will feel much better.

Well in my opinion, just do some basic SEO at least, for those local firms and it will be good to show them the reports when they have the next encounter. And they will be happy and may be your friend can extend your contract :)

I'm sitting on the fence on this one but personally I think that all the below are comparable (if not worse)

1. Selling convoluted "make money online" ebooks to people who, in most cases, may genuinely need extra income to support their families.

2. E-whoring, with guys that probably struggle in real life to interact with girls in real life in some cases.

3. Content locker / survey combo to media that doesn't exist.

4. Offering illegal downloads of works that people likely invested a lot of time effort and money in.

But it's BHWorld, and most ideas are morally questionable.

Oh and yes, this does fuck it up some for the SEO industry.

Well, congrats to you friend! As long as he's fine with it then I guess the rest is up to circumstance! Cheers to easy living.
