100$/day with authority site

I opened this thread just to get it inspired to make the 100$/day from one of my news sites ( and sorry for my poor English)

Details about the News site
- Domain Registered in 2015
- Running in Wordpress
- Google News approved , Most of the articles index within few hours.
- Mostly popular in Third world country
- The site is in English Language
- Making few $$ from adsense
- There are more than 1000+ articles ( Most of the articles have word count of less than 500)
- Technical Niches
- Hosted in VPS
- Have organic facebook followers of 140 K+ , Facegroup with 5K+, Instagram followers 5K+ (Almost all followers from third world country)
- Traffic right now ( Direct, Google News and social media)


What I have done before July 2020
- I opened this site as a hobby on 2015, which became viral in my country in one year. Site was making $30-$70/month with adsense before.
- I hired some guys in past to write articles in English ( word count less than 500 per articles)
- Never bought any back-links till now, Site has organic backlinks of around 3,237 , Most of the backlinks are from Wikipedia. There is one backlink from forbes too (Manually checked), But as per the ahrefs the backlinks from forbes not yet indexed.


At the end of July and in August 2020 ( The visitor increased by 200% , earning increased)
- changed the wordpress theme to Generatepress premium
- Installed the Plugin Smush Pro and Yoast Seo Premium
- Installed the OneSignal Web Push Notifications (More than 4500+ has already subscribed till now)
- Bought the Wordpress Optimization service from one of the service provide from BHW (Not delivered yet)
- Publish 4 articles with 1500+ word count ( 2 articles already ranked in 1st page of google without backlinks)



Recent traffic and Earning after end of July









I do keyword research myself using Google, Competitor analysis, Ubbersuggest and ahrefs (One of the example is)


My plan to success the goal of $100/day
-I already have more than 50+ profitable keyword in my list. I will do more keyword research to get more keywords.
-Will try to post one article per day with word count 1500+ ( I have make a deal with a guy to write in 10$ per article)
-Will invest few bucks in guest post, press release and others
- My niches seems to be good for quiz too, so I already bought the Quiz plugin from se900se . Will install the plugin and will create more than 20 quiz and will rank those.
- Will make a email list using Sendinblue.



I will try my best to keep this thread updated at least once a day

How are you monetizing your site .. adsense ?

You're already halfway there. It's just matter of time and conversion optimization for you to reach the goal.

With 75k+ visitors in just 12 days, you should be able to earn more. You should also try affiliate or try selling banner ads. Those can net you extra $100+ per month easily.

Also, what's that other ad network?

Good Luck, Even I am planning to start an authority site. Regarding ads you should try mediavine or .adthrive. You will definitely earn more. Adsense is not good with that much amount of traffic

Update
Today I struggled with the error on my site, I was experiencing this error after updating the WordPress core and PHP version.



Later on, I installed Query Monitor plugins and the error disappeared from the header and footer page. The plugins warned me that it is the issues of theme and plugins. I have bought the themes and plugins from @festingerbhw website. I realized that I should buy plugins and themes from original seller to get support and updates as well.

Today I just can not work too much on the website because of issues I've got.



I have updated today with 3 post ( 1 articles with more than 1700+ word, One photo post only and another I received free of cost from my users)
I am getting 2-3 articles in a week from my visitor which they provide in free of cost , I just need to make their author profile in my website.

Already applied for the Ad network Mediavine and Adthrive, Waiting for the approval.


I will count the expenses and profit only from end of July .
Theme and Plugins= $14.99
VPS cost= $42.50
Ubbersuggest= $12
Articles total (5)= $50
Total Expenses = 119.49

Earning= $275.66

Profit at the moment: 156.17

I am currently on average of $40/day at the moment .

The structure and the starting base of your site LOOKS AWESOME.

You have a lot to work with - way more than many other 'authority publishers'

Are you doing any promotions work on TWITTER?

Since your site is NEWS-based, I suspect Twitter's heavy emphasis on late breaking news would be a good fit for your project.

I agree in that Twitter statement.
If you have possible to make news as videos. Maybe if some of the news articles has videos. Upload that to Twitter and but it there.
Do you want to know more? add link to the news site.
Videos in Twitter get good impact and photos too, but i think videos are better.

Of course all shared twitter post don't get likes, that's for certain and they don't convert to visitors. So you have to by ready for that.
and it's very possible that you get more negative response from twitter "commenting and etc" than from another platforms.

I have twitter in the brand name with around 550 followers.
I will take a look in twitter too.

Rejected from Mediavine
They denied my application because the site doesn't have enough US traffic.

Still waiting from adthrive


As of today, I decided not to go with hooliganmedia.with far more than 20k traffic from the last two days, the sites just make a few cents.It might be the issue with plugins of WP Rocket.
