Are the realistic looking $100 bill drop cards a good offline marketing method or is it a waste of time and money? Im considering order 250 of them as a trial since its only $30. I found one in a book I order from amazon, and it looked so real, that at first I thought it was really a real $100 bill until i unfolded it.

I have not been an active member in this forum for a long time. However your thread got my attention cause I've made a lot of money through these 100 dollar sizzle bills. THEY REALLY WORK! It all depends on the niche. I've been doing pay day loans and mmo and it's been very lucrative. So give it a try, if your ad copy is good and a good offer you will make money.

I'd be interested in trying something like that out. Are there places that specialize in making that? My biggest concern would be realistic looking paper; I could handle the design.

Regardless, I bet it definitely draws attention no matter what, but the conversions depend on the niche, I'm sure.

One site I found was http://www.realisticdropcard.com/ There is another one that offers a version that makes it look like 3 $100 folded but I think that is a waste of money.

If the value of a lead is good, a year or two ago, there was a system that I got from a black site where the drop item was a fake iPhone. On the iPhone, you added a sales message printed on clear adhesive paper and attached it to the screen. Have not tried it, so I don't know if it works.

For what it is worth.

The product that I am going to sell is going to probably be between $99 and $129,so all I need would be less then 1% conversion rate. @Dan_Free were you talking about the Air Phone 4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUT39op2Pp8

I've seen these used for local payday loans places, so I would assume that they work perfectly for this kind of thing. Leave them around places where adults who are low on cash might congregate, such as bingo halls, etc.

I think it would work, if your goal is for people to pick it up. The next big thing is how to get YOUR TARGET CLIENT to pick it up.

What is your niche? What is your product/service you will be selling on it?

If you drop these on the floor, is that no considered littering??

I've used these before and like someone else said, they're good for getting people to pick them up off the ground, but depending on your niche they aren't really all that effective at reaching your target audience. They can be a little pricey too as far as business cards are concerned. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have used that money toward direct mail campaigns that I was running at the time.

You just need to think if it's going to get to your target audience. If a thousand people pick them up that have nothing to do with your business then it's a waste of time. It will get peoples attention though. Who knows if they just throw them away when they realize they are a business card.

This is an interesting idea. Anyone try this and get a % of conversion or such?

Im really going to have to try it with a money making niche site, they look so freaking good I still get fooled from the one I found, lol.

Damn, I always pick those up. I'm curious about people's conversion rates
