I completely agree with you that in order for this to be a worthwhile project, you have to approach this very carefully and resist the urge to spam the hell out of it (as usual). This is one of the main reasons that I am interested in your project, because you are showing such self restraint. Anything less that that and the leechers on BHW will kill the method's effectiveness.

Wait for the nofollow update to be out for a bit, then you can do a search for the those running the older version.

Idk why everyone keeps thinking that. identi.ca is d0-follow, and never became a nofollow.

Just one question, i'm trying to work out how to add the new servers to twitterfeed. i can find statusnet alright, then I go to Authenticate new StatusNet Account which has the indeti.ca server on. I see no option to add more servers though, seems I would be re-writing the indeti.ca option all the time.

It's dead because it was abused. They are all nofollow and they ban people.I don't see identica on twitterfeed.. I don't get the proccess, someone explain please?

Pretty sweet idea, would definitly get some backlinks into new websites quite quickly and obviously bring in a bit of traffic. I might have to look into this more, I've already had a couple of ideas on how to automate it.
