If only this were true. With the level of data available, it is routine to develop persona's or profiles for unknown users.

For instance, Facebook may know some old grandpa exists, and may even know what he looks like, can identify him in images, knows his family members, where he lives, and a bunch of other things about him, even if he has never used FB, or the internet for that matter.

So, again, if only that were true...

It actually is not the best idea. It adds to the list if crimes you may be committing, and it is a weak form of redirection.

If you absolutely must do something this lame, then I would highly suggest using directional antenna's and hitting "neighbors" further away than usual. I may be uninformed, but I cannot think of a single instance of someone getting caught doing this correctly.

An even better solution would be the directional antenna and you being mobile, not in your neck of the woods so to speak, and using a distant high density network. Be aware of video cameras, as they are everywhere. Also, be aware of your RF footprint. If you are leaking RF, someone nearby may be able to detect this. If they can detect it, they can most likely locate you.

Do your own look at people who have used their neighbors wifi as a means to hide their identity/location, only to have the police figure this simple trick out. Police and investigators are getting wise to simple techniques like this. I would highly recommend against it.

VPN ---> some kind of offshore RDP that dont care what you on it and VPN with port forwarding, prefferably paid or just another VPN

I mean from My side it was. People shouldn't steal internet, among others.

If you want to be 100% anonymous you need to do the following:
Buy a brand new laptop, do not use anything linking back to you (email, social media etc) on it
Go to a McDonalds, wear glasses, facemask and hat, use their Wifi
Buy a VPS with a prepaid card with cash, then from the VPS use multilogin with proxies, only ever access the internet through this method.
Go to a different McDonalds every single day, traveling across states every few weeks
Run big magnets over your laptop and then burn it in a trash can every single month
Repeat as needed.
