I have never seen this happen, the domain has 0 backlinks and 0 archive on webarchive, yet it is not appearing on the serps when we search for the domain name brand, so definitely not penalized

It appears as indexed under Google Search Console, but only when I enter the exact url including http

Build QUALITY backlinks then.

i have 24 years old domain(1 year older than me lol) with no backlinks still it will not help me at all for ranking only backlinks matter these days.

domain age is not a ranking factor, not something to rely on to rank at least or even to consider,

is the domain clean? does it have clean history usage? check the wayback machine & semrush for any suspecious stuff,
you need to make sure it's not penalized,

are the pages cached? check "cache:url" in google,
if it's in there it should take some time before getting indexed,

other than that, it could be some miss configured technical stuff causing the problem,
you might want to double check noindex tags, robots.txt, missconfigured redirections, etc...

Already said it is clean on main post

It is Shopify, I know it is no longer a ranking factor but I have never seen this happen not even with newly registered domains, they usually show up for brand name search on page 1

For me it seems nowadays that Google only ranks their "friends" LinkedIn, Reddit, Quora, Amazon, they have literally killed the small business

Buying aged domains is not only about age...it's much better to buy a 7yo domain with some authority and quality backlinks than buying those dinosaur domains from 1999 without any authority
I believe it might not work in 2024, maybe if niche related content

Yeah domain age is not a ranking factor at all.

When people talk about "aged auction domains" what they're generally referring to is an auction domain that doesn't have an expiry date/renewal date so it doesn't show up as having expired in the same way.

Or age as in, it's got ranking history. Generally you want a domain that's been active/ranking within the last 2 years.

For a pbn it doesn't matter. Juice passes, but if you want to actually rebuild an rank a site, you will skip the sandbox if you get a domain that's been ranking recently and pickup almost where it left off.

google sandbox might have different option about domain age. read leaked API :)

Do some quality backlink and wait for the result. Also, Do you try to use Google API?

I would appreciate a link

What you're looking for is previously indexed pages. It has ZERO index history?

After you bought it, what did you do? Post articles or anything?

So you're saying domain age doesn't matter but ranking history does. That is why you should let a new domain sit in position 60 for awhile slowly going up before trick in links?

so, to be more specific,
the domain is indexed in GSC & Google SERPs (using "site:") but it's not showing for the brand name SERP?

if that's the case, you should give it some more time,
even for super easy keywords (brand kw, i'm assuming it's unique so super easy it should be), sometimes take some time to rank,
especially for brand new websites with no authority, just give it some more time

Yeah the age doesn't matter. A 20 year old domain that's not ranked for anything in 15 years is still going to be in the sandbox when you start using it again.

It'll work fine as a pbn, as ranking and linking are 2 completely separate things. There isn't a "sandbox" for passing link juice.

Even if you have a domain that's been ranking for the past 5 years for gardening and you try to start putting gaming content on it, it's not going to rank well.

The more recent the domain has had rankings in a given niche, the easier it is to build it out again and start ranking in that niche.

There does seem to be a difference with REALLY powerful domains, and they will often rank quicker even in new niches. By really powerful though I'm talking about $5k+ domains.

But even then, they don't always.

Statistically, and I'm talking from direct experience, the quickest way to rank a site is a domain that's had rankings(doesn't have to be huge. Can be a few hundred keywords and 50-100 traffic on ahrefs) within the past 6 months and you re-build the pages either with the old content, or new content and 301 page by page where it's most relevant, and add more, fresh content in that same niche, and keep expanding from there.

This works almost every time and very quickly.

Next is 1 year. This works about 70% of the time. The other 30% you just have to wait longer to start ranking.

Then 2 years, which is about 50/50.

Over 2 years, if the DR is under 40(And by DR I mean REAL DR, ie, the DR is 40+ from good links, not 40+ from garbage. This is a very important distinction. I judge domains by links, but the DR gives you an idea of what the links should look like, if the DR is from legit links. Make sense?)

For DR over 40 and 2 to 3 years, it's about a 60-70% chance to rank fairly easily.

3-5 years you need about a DR 50+ to get good numbers.

2 years with no traffic and a DR 20, will often fail to rank. It will rank eventaully, but it could take 6 months to a year to build up. It gets sandboxed..

The sandbox is obviously related to link quality. It must be otherwise a DR 60 with no traffic in 5 years would be the same as a DR 20 with no traffic in 5 years, but they aren't. This comes from the direct experience of rebuilding close to 1000 domains now, with everything from DR 10's to DR 75's, traffic within 1 month to no traffic for 10 years.

If you want to build a money site:-

Traffic within 6 months: Any DR. Any links. You can pretty much buy purely based on the traffic.
Traffic within a year: DR 25+ - Could be 20, could be 30. You decide. 20, you'll find more, 30, you'll get more to rank faster.
Traffic 1-2 years: DR 40+
Traffic 2-3 years: DR 50+
Traffic 3-5 years: DR 60+

Traffic over 5 years.. I wouldn't bother.

Yes zero index history, I built a website and added content and products its been 3 weeks so far

sorry I just had to learn to how to multiquote with this new design

Yes, exactly that, not showing at all with brand name but TikTok and Instagram profiles just showed up after 7 days

I know it takes time, but this has never happened to me, especially this long with an unique brand name not showing up at all but does when I use "site" and no issues in the search console

This is golden info, kids these days would sell this post of yours for $997

With zero index history, I'd suggest to keep doing what you have been. Submit the website to GSC for indexing, wait a week, and do it again until you're properly indexed.

Start building some links. Quality, foundational links. Wouldn't hurt to get a guest post or three as your first set of links from a domain within your niche too.

sorry I just had to learn to how to multiquote with this new design

It's no biggie, it happens. :)

If the domain has no backlinks, or very few weak backlinks then Google won't know or bother about your site.

You need some links my dude. Also start doing some socials and reddit linking, that sort of thing and you'll probably find it being indexed pretty quickly.

This is so true, personally experienced it, when buying domain the best buy is always that has recent content and is already indexed, pick it up right where it was left, it will work 100% if you post quality content in same niche. and your other point is also on spot, sites that are sandboxed can be used well as PBN;s

I agree with some people here that the domain’s age has nothing to do with the ranking factor.. have you tried checking it on black list checker? or any malicious stuffs? hmm..

Yep, the sandbox has very little to do with passing juice.

And it makes sense.. If Google changed the algorithm so that juice only passed between sites that are ranking easily for a topic, then it would severely limit links.

It would also create a bit of a chicken and egg, since what comes first? Sites that pass juice, or sites that rank? If there are no ranking sites, then no sites can pass juice, so how does the whole system bootstrap? They would need metrics outside of links/PR to first decide who ranks, and then after they rank, they what, switch to PR/links?

The only place I do think traffic makes sense for pbns is in terms of actual traffic through the backlinks which they track through chrome.

They're probably tracking clicks through links in chrome and using that as a weighting factor for links, which is why auction domains with links from bigger sites work well, since those links are going to have some clicks through chrome compared with spammy links from low quality sites which are essentially dead links.
