10 super web 2.0 vs 100 web 2.0's

Hey guys,

Been browsing the forum for a few months now and actually started a website a year ago. Was able to rank 1 for a bunch of keywords (200-800 monthly searches) by buying tiered link building services. I have about 900 backlinks to date (150 referring domains, 148 referring IPs) so it was cool to see the results of SEO paying off 6 months down the line.

I've got a new project now for an Amazon affiliate website. Here's my question: Is it better to have 10 super web 2.0's pointing to the site or 100 weak web 2.0's pointing to it?

The 10 web 2.0's would act as a private blog network to a certain extent.

When I say super web 2.0 here's what I'm referring to:

At least 10 blog posts ~ 500 words manually written (+1 new post every month)
video and images on each post
contact + about pages

Weak web 2.0:
1 article
contact + about pages

So the affiliate website homepage is a blog with all articles. Since the homepage links to all of my affiliate articles, would it also be better to have the web 2.0's link to the homepage which should then distribute link juice to all of the articles? Or do I have to send links to the actual articles to get them to rank?

Depending on the rest of your links - and their power - I don't think either will be overly effective. So I'd probably go with 100 weak, just to diversify the profile further. Re; spreading the links, homepage is probably your best bet, unless you only have a handful of articles.

I want to say 10 good, and why not 10 good with levels 1 and 2 in automatic combine the best of both worlds?

You should have tier 1 and tier 2 links.

Use the less powerful ones as Tier 2, the super powerful ones as the Tier 1.

Either CAN be fine and useful, but when I see a thread like this I worry that the OP intends to make these their entire SEO strategy. Which is a problem. Web2.0's aren't what they used to be, they are more useful as a small part of a tiered structure and frankly are more useful if they are of a higher quality. Spammy web2.0's haven't been much good outside very outer tiers (almost as indexers) for a while now.

For the most part they are the largest part of my SEO strat. Of course, I'll have article submissions, social media, blog comments but I feel these carry less weight than an established Web 2.0

Thanks for all the answers. I just figured that 10 really good links wouldn't fare as well as 100 low-quality tier 1 links. I'm going to continue with the 10 super web 2.0's and test the waters

All that matters is that you can get 20-40 of your tier 1s indexed in the top for your keyword. That's the real trick behind proper tiered linkbuilding.

Read: Treat the direct ******** tier 1s as pseudo-money sites since Big G punishes machine-written language much more over time.

Save this work for some decent domains and use the 100 web 2.0s as Tier 2

Never thought of it like that. I like that approach much more as those are more likely to get indexed anyway since they're higher quality

if you write content manually for web 2.0 its good option to use for tire 1
