Isn't sitemap submission supposed to be done just once? I submitted mine to Google Webmaster tools and it updates automatically every day. My content is rich and updated daily. I also post my links on social networks like crazy, but still the only traffic I get is from those shares. My search engine traffic is below 7%. From about 300 average daily visits, only 3 or 4 currently are from Google. A few from Bing and Yahoo, but who gives a sh*t about them? I do on-page SEO, using the WP plugin - Yoast. If I don't share my articles like crazy, I will probably get 20-30 visits. The site is young, but still, I seem to be stuck to social traffic, which I have to tend to every day. Fb, a newspaper comments and Reddit are my main sources of traffic. I don't know why, but Twitter sucks big time and no matter I tweet by the books on it and have gathered more than 70 followers, I am yet to receive a visit from it.

You should do it with any change to the website. Get a good ping list also...
You should care about bing and yahoo. It's free traffic...
Links on social networks are good, I would suggest adding better links from other pages related to your keyword.

Then what does the fact that it updates every day in my Webmaster tools? If I submit it manually every day, wouldn't it be just too much?

I also have sitemaps generated by Yoast. Should I submit them too and would it scramble my indexing and results?

Sitemaps are submitted automatically by your cronjobs normally.
at OP: why post something like this if you are not an absolute expert in SEO? Sorry to shoot you down but "Maybe you are not getting search engine traffic because your blog is not indexed... " you dont say!
