Since I started with internet marketing like 4 or more years ago, I made a little notebook where I wrote down tips, it kept me motivated, and it's really incredible how much that helped me to stay focused, to avoid repeating the same mistakes I did before and to remind me how I made it when I did well.
Everyday or two, I was writing down the important points that I've learned or saw repeated many times by successful business men. I was reading this notebook every once in a while and I was really amazed on how many important stuff I was forgetting to consider. So today I will publish this great notebook's most important points:
• Save and well-arrange - Arrange your files, it may require some time to save and arrange everything, but believe me it will save you a lot of time in the long run.
• Dare! - Dare to try a method, dare to try new things, because in the worst case, you will just learn from your experience.
• Think big, but start small - "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" , if you are aiming to make 1k a day, but now you only make 1$ a day, just make your method better, do it more and believe me you will get there, there are enough people in the world who are interested in your stuff.
I always believed that a method that can bring you 1$ a day, can bring you 10, 100 and 1000′s a day if you just do it better and more often.
• Think twice - It might sounds simple, but please be honest with yourself now, how many times have you bought a method, a software or any other tempting stuff that you thought it'll bring you easy money ? If in that moment before purchasing that you took your time to think twice about it, would you still have bought it?.
Don't be fooled with a method that screams "Easy money here", there's no such thing, if you want to earn nice money and keep doing that, then you need to work hard, there's no shortcut for success.
• Be honest with yourself - If you want to lie to your mom, girlfriend or anyone else, that's okay but don't you ever lie to yourself, that's the worst thing you can do, if you get used to do that, at the end you will find yourself just doing the easy and lazy stuff because you are always convincing yourself that it's better this way, though deeply inside you know that it's not, you are just doing that because it's easier for you than the hard work.
• Work is Work - When you are the employer of yourself, it's very easy to get distracted, specially when working from home and in front of a computer, where you can visit Facebook, read emails, chat or any other thing which isn't related to your work.
Put time for socializing, for playing game or reading emails, just don't do that when you are working. I decided in the past to measure how muuch time I was spending on useless stuff while I'm actually "working", and I was really disappointed to find out that 50% of my "working" time was wasted on useless stuff. So please make sure you don't repeat my mistake, when you are working, just work.
• Make Internet marketers friends - Make online friends, invest in them, help them, they are a long term goldmine.
You will always have some questions, or you will need opinions, help or any other simple stuff that you won't be able to get anywhere if you don't have these friends. Actually without my online friends I wouldn't be able to achieve half of what I achieved so far.
• When you start something, finish it - If you are started using a method, continue with it until it finally works, or fails, just don't switch to another "Looking easier" method when you are still trying the first one, even if that other one seemed easier, magical and more profitable, don't fall in that trap.
• Well decide, then continue - If you feel confused about choosing between two things, make a list then write down all the good and bad things for both things, make sure to be 100% honest, and if you saw that there are too many bad stuff on both, then try to find solutions for every bad thing on each, then you should see the image brighter and it'll be easier for you to decide.
Now after you make sure what you want and decide, just go with it and don't look back or think about switching to the other option, just terminate it and go on.
• Stay updated - Things change, internet marketing world is so dynamic, you can't really know when suddenly your profitable method stop working, so make sure you are always updated with what's going on, as it's also going to help you with your current situation anyway. So even if you are making 5 figures a day, don't you ever stop reading internet marketing forums/websites.
• Invest in yourself - Always learn new stuff, whether it's coding, general computer knowledge or self-development, nothing you learn is wasted, it will always help you on some point in your life.
• Write down your Goals - I know this is repeated everywhere, but if you don't have Define goals written in a paper hanging somewhere in your room, then you must do that asap as having define written goals will help you to stay focused and motivated.
