Hi Hootz,
Love your designs,Im still getting to grips with web design and one of the things I always struggle with is coming up with the color concepts, how do you decide what colors to use and is there some rule in choosing colors for the web.
Thanks..
@Charles - There's no need to reinvent the wheel, you have the whole internet at your disposal and researching good looking designs is pretty easy. Copy their colour schemes! Those designs above aren't mine, just a collection from around the internet. If you want help in choosing an initial direction in which to go for your design there are plenty of good articles online about the psychology of colours to get you started.
Thanks for the share mate, Clean and fresh is what I like most. You could also add this awesome collections to kuler.adobe.com, which is a good site for web designers that are looking for new colors to work with.
For fellow designers out there, films that have amazing cinematography are also good places to find palette inspirations. For instance, films like Hitchcock's Vertigo or Antonioni's Red Desert or even Wes Anderson films.
