I'm trying to make around $200 in two weeks or so to afford some SEO and hosting costs, I started writing for Iwriter yesterday day, and realized just how bad the service was after writing 6 good articles for under $2 and then having four of them denied even though they were quality articles. I'm a native high school student, with experience in AP English classes, so my writing is decent, and I need a place to write for. I tried Textbroker, but apparently my writing wasn't quality. I have also tried fiverr, I put up around 4 gigs pertaining to my writing, and I still haven't gotten any gigs, so i'm not sure what to do.

Any suggestions?

Try opening a sales thread on a few IM forums, as well as try applying to a few threads where someone is looking to hire writers (make sure to check their iTrader ratings).

You can also try working on freelancing websites. In any case, you'll need to spend a bit of time working for not as much as you expected, as you need to build up your portfolio, start showing great samples of your work and other stuff. Plus, your most profitable clients will either come from repeat buyers, or from ones that recommend you to their friends/partners (referral buyers).

Actually his problem is that he wants to earn the amount within couple of weeks, so in that building reputation, getting regular customers kinda idea is not worth it. You can start a thread on DP and try out freelancer and Odesk. These three sources are sure shot, where you can get clients within couple of days. Since you can write fairly well and a native English speaker, then you can expect to get $3 per 500 words. I have an idea, maybe you would disagree but since you are in dire need so I would recommend you that you should write articles for $2 per 500 words and churn at least 10 per day... This way you can easily earn $200, still you have 4 days in hand. You can get $2 clients easily given the fact that you are good at writing articles. I would strictly suggest you to avoid iWriter. It's a piece of shit. I have really bad experience with the site. I wish you all the best with your quest to make money.

Try your luck at freelance sites and if you can do academic writing, it would be a great plus and you would get around $10 per page for that.

Article writing has a great demand that time.Try odesk and DP forums to serve your services to others. You can surely get jobs from there and get great earning in future.
