$10,000mo website sells for $400?

So after seeing this sales thread I could not hold back the laughter and almost (literally nearly fell off my chair). So to give you a little background first, there is this 16year old young man (csnreyes), Celestino Reyes or sometimes goes by his fathers name Jose Reyes who claims to be some CPA guru these days over on another forum. I'm not going to mention the forum buy you can probably guess it, so anyways this kid posts all the time about "hey here is my $3000 a week method, here is this". And of course every gullible person jumps up and down praising this kid, and wasting their time and money trying his "dynamite methods". What's even worse is they actually pay $20 or something a month to read some of his "guru vip" junk.

So long story short, he not only claims to make $3000 a week with these sites. He's now attempting to sell them. The sites are the Ihatemy x-gf, please forward them to your friends and unlock the pictures. So onto the listing This just in from DigitalPoint, the popular site ihatexyz is that is making $10,000 a month in commissions is for sale for $400 or best offer.". No guy's you didn't read that wrong, he's actually willing to take $400 for a site he claims is making $10,000. Now I may not be a math genius, but that is an incredible return on your investment and unheard of in the website flipping industry.

Now if you look closely at the traffic stats, the dramatic increase in traffic sticks out like a soar thumb. In 2-3 days he goes from less than 1,000 visitors to 80,000 visitors a day. And this is repeated several times.

The hillarious part is he actually ends up finding a bidder for this and sell the site for $400.

So what do you think? Is this kid full of hot air or does anyone believe he is crazy enough to sell a site that is earning $10,000 a month for $400.

Those revenge sites can pull in tons if marketed properly (more then $333 a day). I don't know about his claims, but I bet the reason he is selling it for so low right now is because of the recent lack of us surveys at aan...

The funny thing is, who ever bought it put up a crapleed gateway on adult content lol

If you take a good look at thevideo proof, you will see when he scrolls down the total of clicks are 51.550. So that means amount of clicks for all his widgets in his account for that month. Total earnings around $10k in one month for all his widgets.

So when scrolls up again, he will show you the widget for this website and it only has 21.961 clicks and $3k earnings. The widget name is also fanpage and fanpages reminds me of FB pages. (Maybe he just named the widget for the website as fanpage)

So I don't know about this website. Also alexa ranking is not in the top with that amount of traffic.

Yeah, things just don't add up. Notstanding the fact that selling a $10k month website for $400 doesn't make any business sense. If that site really was doing that, I'm sure anyone with at least some basic business sense could sell it for six+ months earnings.

Compete and alexa rankings don't quite add up either. Its basically non existant in alexa, and compete shows again 40,000 visitors one day to 433 the next.

@originator- Good point about the fanpages. I do know the kid was making some decent profit with FB pages around that time, so I wouldn't be surprised if the majority of this income is all from that.

Obviously not, just some dumbass kid whose trying to get whatever he can for a site that makes nowhere near that amount

Yeah our thoughts exactly. Just seems like some kid wanting some quick cash... I'm sure his parents are proud. The guy that bought it, is a member here I'm pretty sure (or someone with the same SN), so it would be interesting to hear how this little venture of his panned out.

So far with the alexa ranking and everything added up, I think he can be glad he didn't pay thousands for this site, assuming its not legit. And have to hire lawyers to take this kid to court.

Yes, but only if you provide real content/offers.
If not, in 2 months you will find on forums that your site is scam and your traffic/earnings will drop.

Think long-term.

Yeah. Kinda scary, and goofy. If your going to try to pass an unperforming site that you artificially increased the traffic on, make the figure at least believable.

But who know's probably $400 to him is like a million bucks

WOW, I used to try to help this kid out about a year ago. He was going to do some offline promoting for me but it eventually fell through. He actually is a member here, I can't remember his username though.

We used to IM all the time and he would tell me about the times where he would make $ here or there. But it was chump change. I am trying to remember what exactly I hired him to do one time... it was either forum posting or something.

Oh boy, yeah they kid always seemed a little too desperate to make a quick buck. I was looking at his past posts, and he was constantly doing things like "I'll get your website indexed for $1.50" as late as february of this year.

Funny as how everyone salivates over his "techniques" and he's like their best contributor at that other forum.

Yeah. I know this kid. he recently bullshitted all over another forum and has no idea of reality. hes a facebook spammer thats all he knows. hes had a few lucky days with s.p.a.mm.ing fa.cebook and thinks hes real neat but hes not. hes just a kid with no respect for other peoples intelligence. the only people who think hes ok are the ones he licks the arses of and thats only becuase thats how they operate. i feel sorry for anyone who has to lie and cheat there way through life. hes so delusional and the thing thats really pathetic is he keeps getting caught out bullshitting people. what really needs to happen is the guy needs to go into a psych ward and get his marbles tended to. the other thing i hate is the way he has to copy and paste everyone elses stuff. he has hardly got an original bone in his body we all nicknamed him tinoandpaste cos thats what he is. he might change when he grows up a bit

Yeah, and criminals who steal cars because they are trying to feed their family are also morally and ethically right? Hmm.. I don't think so.

But anyway, yeah I recall him having a bunch of sob stories about his family eating out of the gutter. But it still doesn't make fraud and deception right, if that is what occured here.
