1 year from now.

Im a college student currently doing bricklaying, on my second year and loving it! Can't wait to get out there and start earning some money. The course im on is a year long so i really want to do something over that year to do with IM. I have hosting thanks to a promo code that was posted on here which got my 6 months hosting for next to nothing, got enough for 1 or 2 domains but its just choosing what to do, what method i should try. I know money doesn't come easy so time is not a problem, if it takes a month or two to set up then ill do it! I enjoy a challenge and it will be a good learning experience for myself. I want to be making a few thousand each month but that's not going to happen without any experience so that's what ill be aiming for during the next year or two.

Right now i just wanted to get started! Had a look through and read many guides, tutorials and journals to get some sort of idea on what to do but its just so much information to take in. I don't want to look back in a few weeks/months to see i made the wrong choice which is why im making this thread among the many you see daily, for that i apologize.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

It's always important that you do what you love.

If you want to do something on the internet - the possibilities are countless - you can do web development / web design, you can be a web writer, create a good website, and monetize by selling ads...

Just looking to make some extra money each month and then scale it up.

Me too bud, hope you find something and stick with it, who know's in a year or so maybe you will be sitting in spain somewhere with some drinks and a nice villa all smug like lol.

Im a noob too and the best thing I can say is read, read & read some more.. also don't be afraid to take action or fail.. if you don't fail then you won't succeed. GOOD LUCK!.

All I can say is don't read, read, read... it confuses you. That's what really fucked me up.
Just read one book, take action, then evaluate your performance daily. Make your business/consulting official by getting planned procedures, contracts, plans for growth, etc.

If he does not read then how will he know what works?.. what I meant by read is look at multiple techniques and so forth then choose "1" which he feels he can pull off.. I did not mean read, read & then take on multiple projects lol.. that's very hard and can be very confusing and discouraging especially if you don't begin to see results.

Use every downloadable book in the content creation section and download section on BHW to learn. Others, including me, make our living Email Marketing, product launches, adsense sites, services, and training people in IM. How did I learn? I read some books, and then practice made perfect. A great combination of Research, Compile, Study, Practice, Repeat does wonders on your income figure. Also, I can learn to enjoy Football and Basketball if I don't like them. You only learn to like or hate something when you tie positive or negative emotional responses to a event or object, even stronger for the "first" encounter.

Hey Cazual, I am also a college student. I'm just getting back into the IM game after a year long break. Working towards obtaining my degree in Business/e-commerce and am currently in my third semester.
