+1 the G+ Profile Status or +1 the blogpost/article itself?

I just want to ask, which is better +1 the G+ Profile Status or visit the blogsite and +1 the blogpost/article itself? Why?

Since the G+ Started, i always post my blogpost link to my G+ Profile as my status, from there, i +1 my status and let my friends +1 it, instead of them going to my site,find the +1 button and +1 my blogpost/article...

Am i doing it right?

I don't know the answer but I can provide you with some general principles. These social buttons are signals as you know which represent engagement. The more difficult the task is to accomplish for the user, the more "engaged" they will need to be to accomplish the task which would mean more value to google right? The more hoops the user jumps through to socially share the content the more value. This is my strong option on the subject and the intention google has.
