1 strong outreach backlink VS 5 "less strong" links

Hi,

Need advice.

What is better for you, regarding your experience :

1 Strong Outreach guest post in a large website (100k daily visits) can cost me 2k $
5 Less Strong guest post in less large website (~15k daily visits) can cost me also 2k $ (5x400$)

What do you recommend ?

Metrics play an important role too. A major news paper most likely will have more backlinks than a viral social media meme site although they could have similar amounts of visitors. I'd personally go with the "lower" links because for 400$ you'll get a really decent link. IMO 5 decent links will be more powerful when it comes to SEO than paying for one really expensive link. If you're opting for Forbes or other big newspapers the price will be higher just because you can say that you've been featured on forbes. SEO Value imo is better with links that are a bit cheaper.
 
i was thinking Google love famous website. So because the first website is better (100k daily), so google will "more love", so the link will be more juicy .

Anytime link quality comes up, I like to share this chart. I know Toolbar PR is a thing of the past, but this is still a good illustrator of how algos look at links.

Also, remember that trust is another factor. The closer to the trusted seed sites you are, the more likely Google will trust your site.

Thing is that before, with the PR, we were able to know the PR of a website and know what Google has in mind.
Now, we don't know.... so it's really hard to determine what is a trusted "website" : is-it a website with a better traffic ? with a low bounce ? with a target audience ? .....
 
You just have to use the metrics that are available to you. Look at their top links from one of the link providers and see if they are from really well-known sources. Look at the number of keywords they rank for in SEMRush and the quality of them, look at their TF (which is an attempt to copy Google's TrustRank).

It's true, you won't be able to determine exactly how valuable the link is, but you couldn't actually do that with Google's toolbar PR either because they rounded to a whole number, and it was only updated every few months/years. They just gave you 1 number to look at, now you have to look at a few and determine which links are more valuable to you. Nothing new, just a little different.
 
impossible to answer without knowing the sites or their metrics a bit better

but il say that if 1-2 of the 5 lower sites are more niche relevant to your site then go with those
 
That would depend on the niche of those websites. For example if the bigger site's niche matches, I would opt for that one. Same is true for other smaller sites also. Niche will be more important factor for me while selection.
 
I'd say go with the 5 posts, you have 5 chances to write an awesome post which may go viral and quickly generate the metrics you'll need to rank whatever you're trying to rank. Compared to a 1 time post which has a chance to go viral as well but you only have 1 chance. Just my opinion
 
Without seeing the actual sites, best bet will be 5 links.
