I have found three related keywords.

Example:
how to kill a dragon
how to defeat a dragon
what kills a dragon
-----------------------

KW1: 3600 exact searches
KW2: 2400 exact searches
KW3: 1900 exact searches
--------------------------

Should I make one site that has a page for each keyword along with different support articles for each keyword, or should I make a separate site for each keyword?

I am new to MNS so pls help me out.

Thanks!

I would put them all in one site because each keyword is relevant to each other.
One site, 1 page per keyword.

I would go for all 3 on one site for several reasons:

- You can expand to more keywords if profitable while,

- Building authority

- Increase your chances of going through a quality review

- Target keywords easier in the long run, without needing to rebuild authority. With the benefit of age.

There are more reasons as well. The only reason I could think of choosing several sites would be for laser targeted EMD's but that just isn't worth it IMO.

This is what I would do. Build a site targeting all three keywords. Then build 3 more sites targeting 1 keyword and two additional as yet unidentified LSI keywords.

Do not connect these sites in any way. Run them as competitors.

This way, in time you could end up with the top 2 or 3 spots in Google for the all keywords.

If I make 1 site for all 3 keywords, then should the homepage target 1 keyword or should it be an aggregate of all posts/pages while I target all 3 keywords on separate pages?

also, is it necessary to use "how to" in the domain? coz it is making the domain awkwardly long.

another dilemma

KW1 -- Exact searches = 3600 / Broad searches = 9900
KW3 -- Exact searches = 1900 / Broad searches = 18100

Which KW should I choose for my domain?

For your example of dragons, if you're targeting 3 keywords in 1 domain,

I would suggest "howtodragon.com"

This targets more than 50% of all the 3 keywords you're targeting.

If you're worried about EMD, then go for the one with the most searches but imo EMD is only 1 part of your backlinking strategy
and I would prefer to target a broader range of keywords in my domain name than a single targeted EMD.
This would allow me to expand around those keywords I'm targeting.

all 3 on one site!

They are all very linked. Keywords that are in the same niche can usually be targeted together!!
