Well it has been two weeks since I began my long, treturous journey down a unpredictable and unknowable path to Internet Marketing Success. What progress I have is not much, BUT, the knowledge I have gained is plenty. It seems to me through all of my searching, reading, and learning of what IM is and how I could gain financially through IM, I found that the #1 Rule for any beginner is to RESEARCH. Research is crucial, I believe, to any successful IM campaign. With little or no research your campaign will fail. When I started IM, I "thought I knew" what was the "perfect" niche that I could make some money on. Well, that wasn't so, and I started out on a niche that had 90+K pages on my niche. I still think it is an untapped niche, and with the right ANGLE, I could definitely make a pretty penny. To stay on track, imagine starting a company. If you do not research a market or product, you won't know what the consumer is going to need. So if you set up a ice cream shop in Alaska, are you going to get any business? Probably, but not much. My point is, take the time to do research. And start small. I am in the process of doing this now. I will be looking for a small niche that gets more searches then there are pages. It won't be easy. Even if there is a niche with a few hundred pages, but get 3000 searches a month, that is something to jump at. Start of small. That is my only advice.
