Hi guys,

I'm looking for someone who can create 1 page wordpress sites based on a theme I have chosen. I will possibly want a header graphic too.

Curious. Why only 1 page? Expand it to ten or twenty pages, and that's 10 fewer 1 page sites that will be out there, plus you 10 more pages working for you??

The point being that more pages allow you to target different keywords on each page for your specific niche.

Making 1 page sites rank will be a challenge. Especially now that Google now is gunning down thin sites that are 4 pages or less.

I agree, the Google webmaster rules explicitly addresses "door way pages"; you will get the Google slap if it's found out.
