Hey guys, I have some questions I would really appreciate if someone could help with.

I was brainstorming last night and came up with a niche and found a keyword I think I can dominate. It has 33,100 exact global, and 3,600 local searches. an EMD is available, and traffic travis says the competition is "Easy", and market samurai also shows it as easy.

I was thinking of the best way to implement this keyword, and because of the nature of people's searches I think a one page landing page with a button that they can press to get what they are looking for would be most effective. I can't explain too much without giving it away. My question is, how would a 1 page website work, as surely it's hard to do SEO for it etc. Or should I have my 1 page as a landing page, and then have some other pages and think of relevant content for them.

I think this is a great keyword, just looking for some guidance.

Thanks in advance.

It can be done. I've ranked websites with similar competition at#1 just using good onsite SEO so with a good back linking campaign it should be a breeze.

if its REALLY easy competiton, than you can rank even with 1 page...

Ok great, I just need to figure out how to monetize now!

A one page website isn't really a website now is it, it's more a webpage, and the panda eats those.

I had a similar sitiation and this is what i did.
I added a 750+ word article with proper SEO (H1,H2,..etc) SEO pressor showed 90%.
And added an image saying "click to get <your product>" with hyperlink to a landing page.

The 750 word article will help you to rank, and you will get clicks to the LP too.

Thanks for your input. The main problem I am having now is how to monetize it, as it's a slightly obscure niche

What you should try to do is rank some inner pages with relevant content to the main keyword. It should give the page with the main keyword enough juice to rank high.

Cheers
