Uh, #3 in the map pack is good. The only reason #3 is not as good as #2 is that its only one step away from #4 and losing positions that get 92% of the searches (only 8% look past the top 3). As far as 3 goes, seen some research but I don't see any preferences on position from actual customers or difference in the number of leads produced from 1 -3. Some feel #2 has some additional benefits but nothing really verifiable from what I have seen.

Also, when you say #3 is that right on top of your location or for your entire trade area? You are most likely ranking differently throughout your trade area with higher rankings the closer you get to the address. Run a GEOgrid for your exact trade area to have more details on your current situation. The best way to improve rankings is proper GMB CTR manipulation monthly, but it needs to be mobile proxies, from random devices and local cities. This has been a home run for us.

I agree. in this kind of cases try to get some CTR. Maybe some reviews with keywords you want to target.

There could be several reasons why two people are ahead of you. I suppose you should conduct a competitor analysis. It could be a lack of reviews/ratings, or it could be something else.
