#1 on google search...now what?

I just started my site a few days ago and I'm already indexed and #1.

Doesn't mean much though then adsense said I had $3 and then took it all away shortly there after...

I wish I could understand adsense a little better to help figure out how to make a little more money faster.

Any tips?

Are you saying you ranked number 1 for your keyword in google? If yes, then you din't thought before launching your web site that how would you monetize your web site? or you just choose any keyword randomly?
 
what's your keyword monthly traffic volume? You can get to the #1 spot easily if keyword is not so much popular

I have a plan that I am taking one step at a time. I am new to this so I don't know all the best ways to go about getting traffic and turning it into money.
 
Add another 5, 10 or 50 keywords to your targets and push them up to #1. Then further expand your footprint, pushing more and more terms into the top rankings. That'll get you the traffic you are looking for.
 
You have to try and search for more monetizing methods instead of just relying upon adsense for earning.
 
try to rank many keywords and as above asked what is the monthly volume traffic from the ranked KW.....and dont ever sustain on single keyword..

yea, like he said. google is shit, but the internet is dynamic, you can't be static and rely on google adnonsense. protect your money site with everything g wants or can't find out about... and dominate the world on the stuff around your money site. idk if that made sense... but it did in my head!
 
First of all, Congratualtions !!! I think it will be great if you can sign up for an account CJ, or many other affiliate programs out there that are relevant to your niche. As it already mentioned , don't rely only on Adsense. Furthermore, keep that in mind, try to please your audience, not only Mr Panda :)
 
Just join clickbank and promote some affiliate products in your niche. Cash it out while you can mate coz if it's a really worthy keyword, you aren't gonna be at #1 forever.
 
If you are #1 for a search term that fast, you are probably not going to see much from it. Competition level for all really profitable keywords are getting eaten up by the day, so if I were you I would definitely try to optimize for more keywords and get your site up there for all of them.

You mean keep your money site squeeky clean and build a network of sites around it? :)
 
Agree with some people on here. Try to monetize it by expanding on affiliate marketing. I don't think adsense makes as much as some of the affiliate programs pay.
