Update Nr.4

Hi, guys!
A lot happened this month. I will start with the most important things:
I managed to complete one of the goals - Find an apartment to live (one month later than I planned to, but still I am happy that I solved this problem)
That means from 1 October I can focus more on my goal since I will not be surrounded with negative emotions.

Finance:

• At the end of the month, I have: 14500 USD

• 5500$ left till February.

• I’ve sold 2 of my Instagram accounts.

• I already invested 172$ in my new project.

• I started to outsource projects with lower budget than 300$ (usually this kind of clients are uneducated regarding design and overly pretentious - I lose too much time, I need to focus on Premium Clients)

School:

• I will stop working for 2 weeks to focus on one exam. That means I will earn less money this month.

Life:

• I started to meditate each day for 20 minutes. It’s hard, especially on the bad days (my mind is bouncing in every direction) I am aware that I will get sick in few months/years if I continue with this level of stress. I need to learn to control my emotions/thoughts better.

• Every month I listen to one book and read one book (2 books/month). I followed this plan since November, almost one year and it worked - After 20 books I can say my perception regarding life and money changed completely. Sometimes I wonder why people don’t read, the hidden treasures are in the book. (You want to learn about finance, you start reading about finance. You want to communicate better, just read books about communication. You can improve/learn almost everything just by reading for few minutes each day)

One goal completed, 2 left

That's actually a blessing, not a curse. No distractions. Besides, when you'll succeed, she'll probably regret her decision. Anyway, you didn't broke out because of this "values" bullshit. Attraction decelerate overtime due to monotony, esp. if you don't know how to maintain it.

Why the 2k hole for rent? Are you in Denmark? Why don't you comeback in Romania? Your expenses will be so much lower, it's like in the sandbox.

I was wondering, I have also some good Instagram accounts and if one day I would like to sell one of them where should I go? Do you have any recommendations or it's just a question of networking on instagram?

Furthermore, how much did you earn with those accounts?

Hi, guys!

It’s that day of the month when I have to update my journey. So, when I did all the calculations I have come to the conclusion that I spent way too much money hehe. I have been in Zurich for 9 days (airplane tickets, shopping spree etc) but that’s ok, the crazy thing is that I spent way more when I was sick in Denmark. I was stuck in bed for 5 days without being able to work or at least learn something. In one day I was so pissed that I almost cried (that’s how bad I want to succeed). So what did I do? Totally opposed thing, I started to spend money, ordered food every single day (I wasn’t able to cook, the fever was way too high) at least 45$ every day only on that, purchased different useless stuff, games, digital stuff, the only meaningful thing that I bought was 480$ flight tickets to visit my grandparents in November. 480$ that’s ridiculous given the destination, I guess it's because of the inexistent infrastructure, no connections, nothing (It’s an 11-hour flight, from Denmark it goes to Istanbul and then Chisinau). In the end, it doesn’t matter, if this is the price to see my grandparents, so be it.

Anyway, I never spent that much money in a month in my entire life, I exaggerated a bit…

Finance:

• At the end of the month, I have: 15400$ (only 900$ this month, really disappointing)
• 4600$ left till February.

School:

• I received a 12 (maximum grade in Denmark). It’s actually my second time when I am receiving this grade…hehe. I don't chase those grades, they mean nothing to me, but I can tell it means a lot for my parents
• Only one exam till graduation. Main Thesis and I AM DONE!!!

Life:

• This month I played guitar for the first time in my life. It’s hard because I am a noob, but I enjoy it .
• I miss my friends from Romania, in 17 months I visited them for only 4 days… tbh I am amazed that they still speak to me.
• I am struggling with mood swings.
• I am starting to understand "me" better, I think it’s very important to find out who you are and how you function. You need to know yourself better than anyone else.

Work:
The project that I mentioned in the previous updates is a Viral Website + Adsense.

I created the website on 25 August. Google indexed over 200 pages from the website.

At this moment I have 13,720 Published Words. All the articles are original.

In this period of time, I’ve created some Web 2.0 links with spin articles, social bookmarks and contacted over 20 blogs asking them for guest posts.

One goal completed, 2 left

BONUS:
When I searched for this journey on google I found tens of websites that duplicates all the content from BHW. That's kinda fucked up!

Heyyyyyyy! A long way since the last update. As you remember the deadline for the last 2 goals was February, well we are in February. Let’s see the status:



Finish BA program in Denmark. I just graduated and it feels awesome, to be honest. Been waiting for 4 years for this moment, looking back I realized that is never about the goal, it’s the freaking journey. Ohh god, so many turns and twists, so many challenges, relations, friendships, cries, laughter. It’s been a crazy adventure but I love what it did to me. My school ends today, but I promise you, friends, my education just started!




Finance: Surprisingly I made more than I expected to make, about 75% more. (At 22 I have around 35.000$ and no debts/loan) This means I should reconsider my options and continue with my investment plan.

Future Plans:

With a Bachelor Degree in Design, I just secured my second plan in case my entrepreneur dream fails. The way I see it, I have plenty of time to learn, explore, try, fail, and repeat. (22 years old). When I started this journey I knew exactly how this day will look like. I’ve pictured myself succeeding and achieving these goals. Now is time for bigger ones!

moved to Romania for an undefined period of time to purchase my dream: full-time entrepreneur. I see Romania as a good playground, where the market is growing, lots of opportunities and lots of obstacles as well . Another reason for choosing Romania is the cost of living. Considering this prices my burn rate will be significantly lower.

Update:

Long time no see friends
So I am finally pursuing my dreams: full-time entrepreneur anddddddd IT'S A MESS! Yes, you heard that right, all the "get rich" , "lambo", "the dream". No papi, it is HARD WORK!
I am working 18 hours, I don't have that much a social life but honestly, I fucking love it. I started to enjoy a lot more the journey, not the end result.

What do I do?
Right now I am focusing on raising my Design & Marketing Agency, everything is new for me (contracts/papers/bureaucracy), except for the actual work, I've done that for several years.

New Goals:
Since the company is fresh, let's start small.
500$/month by the end of October

What I did till now:
Founding the company (legal stuff)
Website finished (local language and English)
Landing page for SMM Services


Strategy:
I am using Google AdWords for local clients.
And today I set up a landing page for my Instagram account (45k followers - design niche)

Next:
I am gonna try cold emails for the companies that don't have a social media presence.
Any recommendations for email sender service? I am thinking 100 emails/day.

It's been 2 years since my last update. I know long time no see .
I am back on BHW!
This time as a junior VIP
I don't want to let this thread die.
Let me quickly recap what happened in the last 2 years.

• Got 40k euro from the EU to start a business.
• Started a digital agency that focuses on SEO and content creation.
• Got clients from all around Europe and only one from the USA (but in the end, he scammed us with 3000$ )
• From 2019 to March 2020, business was good until COVID hit, and everything fell apart.

Because in the last 2 months we experienced a severe drop in the number of new clients, I decided to fill my time with some personal projects.

And this is the reason why I post here.
Let me explain.

I've started several websites in different niches.
The plan is to grow these websites for:

• to put them in my portfolio
• to show proof of my expertise in the field
• extra revenue $$$

I will document all the journey on BHW, my personal blog, Youtube, and "maybe" Reedit.

The goal

My ultimate goal is to create a personal branding in the digital world.

So these are all my personal websites, I am not including the digital agency.
As I slowly build my network, I need to create short-term and long-term goals.
Let's take it easy and see how much time do I need to hit those goals.

Just to be clear, I don't take the digital agency into consideration, but I will talk about it from time to time and maybe count traffic and words posted.

I created a plan per week and divided my websites on different days.
For example, now I know if it's Monday, I am working on this website, if it's Tuesday on that one and so on.

• Bought a new hosting plan for 4 years
• Bought 2 new domains.

Let's talk about my websites now.

Domain 1 – Outdoor

• Found a niche.
• Made Keyword Research
• Bought the domain name.
• Built the website
• Create an article format
• Posted 4.700 words content.
• Optimize the speed and on-page SEO

Month 1. (Created in June 2020.)

Domain 2 – Travel
I didn't research this one that much, but I do enjoy writing on this one.
It's an easy niche, plus I am doing it with my best friend
Planning to go long term with this one.
From what I heard the travel niche got hit really hard, so I don't have big plans, for now, just pouring content and enjoy

Month 3 (created in April 2020)
Total word count = 10.941
Organic Traffic / per month = 0


Domain 3 – Men
Got almost 30.000 words posted on the website for 0 dollars, which is great
Also, because I hit 30.000 words, I started to build some backlinks on this one.

Stats:
Month 3 (created in April 2020)
Total word count = 29.845
Organic Traffic / per month = 2

Domain 4 – Digital Agency
I have 2 domains, one from the international market and one for the Romanian market.
My focus, for now, is on the Romanian market because it's easier to rank here. But there is a downside to this, the market is tiny and uneducated.
I don't have a content plan for the international market yet. I am just pouring content and hoping for the best
I started my first email marketing campaign. I used Mailchimp and managed to send 2 emails with an open rate of over 30% and a 9% click rate. From what I heard, this is good stats. One guy even replied and said he wants to work with me.

Stats for RO:
Month 9. (created in November 2019)
Total word count = 82.473
Organic Traffic/ per month = 280

Stats for EN:
Month 7. (created in January 2020)

What else happened

As you know, this is my first time when I try Amazon Affiliate, and this month I got my first two orders. One more and I will get my account reviewed.


Another thing, I started 2 Youtube channels. One for the Romanian market where I explain easy concepts from digital marketing using VideoScribe.


The reason behind this is to explain my potential customers some marketing concepts without spending hours doing it. Got 26 subscribers already )


The second channel is where I document my digital journey. It's hard for me because I get really nervous behind the camera, but I am trying to get in as many uncomfortable situations as possible this year )


The plan for this channel is to document + talk about "how to make money online." It's a big and competitive niche, I know, but this industry is exploding due to COV, and people got laid off, forcing them to try to find another income source.


In total, I made 7 videos last month.
