stay away with them people. they are going to ask $25 if you transfer + they will ask for your credit card details including your security pin. BEWARE! up to now my domain name is there cos they are asking for credit card photo copy front and back. STAY AWAY! ripper
Domain registration isn't immediate like you're probably used to, your request takes about 48 hours to be processed, so good luck securing an important domain before someone else does.
Their billing department's requirement sounds like a stupid move on their part, but it's true. They require you to send a fax/scan of your CC's front and back, including sec. number.
So, echoing Sallie's warning, Stay away from this shady company.
So yeah, pretty shady, they are stealing cc information, you never send a picture of your cc to an online business like this..... Especially not front and back.. The back has signatures on it, which can be forged.... Very easily, at that point, once you give it to them... I bet everyone who did that will have fucked up charges on their CCs sooner or later, but most people dont think about what they charge, so $25 here and there, wont mean anything to them... You get what you pay for.... Next time, instead of them having to fake everything, just send them the cc itself...
Also once they have that faxed copy, they can send it to hotels, car rentals, etc without ever facing a real person for any length of time... Anyone who did this, needs to contact their cc company because you were just ripped off...
how reliable the company? U$1 but what's next
Exactly... did you read the posts above yours? I dont think so, otherwise you wouldn't have asked the question...
$1 Domain is a promo for their 11th anniv. I just ordered a domain from them days ago, no extra charges were taken, nothing sketchy and superb customer service..so I assume they are legit.
Sadly, you guys were too skeptic and the promo is no longer available.
I would give great customer service if I was going to get your cc front and back.... I would be the friendliest guy you ever met... LOL.... And im repeating myself, never EVER, fax both side of your cc to anyone.... but if you feel you must, just send it to me, lol, i can make use of it...
They have been around 11 years, and noone has ever heard of them? Definitely not godaddy competition.... lol.... and i can put up a site whose company has been around for years, no bad reports on bbb or anything else, lol. I would rather earn my money than scam it, and it just sounds like a scam that just hasn't happened yet... There's too much cc fraud out there without giving the information to them voluntarily... Thats why they want a copy, because then you cant pay from a vcc or any other method that would protect you... from fraud.
