First of all sorry for not updating the thread.
Last week I was not at home, and my second semester has started. I've been lacking time.

I've now got a dedicated article writer, that charges 0.38$ USD per 400-500 word article! Basically, 115$ for 300 articles. The article is almost flawless. I only need to "semi-read" it and change a word or two!

I noticed in one of the earlier links there was a suggestion of "building a list"
I can't tell you all the ways that that can be useful to you or how best to monitize it once you have it.
What I can suggest as a good way to build it is a survey.
You said that you tended to link back to a landing page.
Put a survey on there
Which of the following topics should I write my next article on:
- Topic A
- Topic B
- Topic C
- Suggest a Topic of your own
Have them vote with their e-mail address beside the one they want, telling them you'll send them an e-mail when it's written. This will also help get ideas for future articles of interest.
You could even pull that into an auto responder with a reward of a 5 part series of lessons on your main topic (EG; 5 things to do before starting a new business) if you are promoting a business product or opportunity make sure that each lesson relates to the product in some way. Each auto responder message gives you the opportunity for another link and they may be more likely to give you a valid email address.

You have motivated me to try again with article marketing as i found great info in this thread and i have one question for you guys.
I think it is my main problem with every method i try and that is the proper niche/product/keyword selection. Can you please help me with that.

with nothing after that you mean that you wrote and submitted more articles?
OR you are saying that you did not make more money from that 1 article which you submitted on 5 directories. cause 200$ for 1 article is enough
on the other hand if you wrote more articles and didn't saw the same results then you need to look into the first article that make 200$ and see the heading/content that's in it....and the kind of value it gives to the reader.
try to rephrase it if you can't make money with the other articles that you write then keep rephrasing and slowly start modifying it and within a few days you will be writing whole new articles.

I'm new to article marketing and still in the stage of trying things out. What's the best way to submit articles? Do you guys/gals submit the same articles to 5 directories or do you rewrite your articles each time you submit to a new article directory?

Im thinking of getting 1 product, get all relevant KWs and then get an article writer to write 2-3 articles for each KW, let's say I have 20 keywords and 2/3 articles for each. Total of 60 articles all submitted to article directory, heavily bookmarked and pligged...bang! I'll be dominating the product niche

Actually I didn't get much articles written =X
I had some issues with my article writer and I have yet to find another one.
Currently I have 31 articles online and have made over 600 from them.
I really need to get more articles written.

Hi, Root, your posts have really been encouraging, thanks so much for sharing, I am going to plunge in, I was wondering do you know if I can take my published articles from AC and submit them to EZ, mine are non exclusive, or can I take the articles and rewrite them, I have about 25 articles already published, it would save some time and I could start right away, all these articles were outsourced, I just had to tweak them and correct some grammar, but they were decent

If your articles are non-exlusive, you can publish them on eZineArticles! The resource box is most important. Make sure to change it accordingly to each article!
If you can rewrite them enough to re-submit to ezinearticles that's also good!
