1 Article Online for 5 hours - $90 Made

Once again thanks for the tips IMATA!
In a matter of fact I had opened that thread, however I'm not using a blog.
It's just an ordinary landing page, with 3 short reviews.

I guess I'll have to rewritte some of the articles and put them on a blog and accomplish that.

My domain name keywords were the ones that I searched for and had 80million results, I guess that helped a lot too.

Hey r00t,

The part about having your KWs in the domain name or any subdomain at Squidoo, Hubs, etc is VERY important, particularly for Google.

Now regarding the blog thing, it's just one more platform to put your content on. It doesn't necessarily have to be your primary asset, landing page or whatever.

I paste below the content of a short PM I wrote answering a question on whether I had a "system" for this. There you'll see what I usually ( not always ) do with each kind of asset ( including blogs ) and a general overview of the process :

--------------------

" - I generally choose upcoming products for which the buzz is already there ( and from there I go to niches, not the other way round, particularly if I don't care much for the niche ).

- I go for buying KWs as my primary KWs

- I build a couple of primary content assets ( generally a Lens and a video ) for each primary KW, and include other primary KWs and secondary KWs in them too.

- Then I build secondary content assets for each primary KW. I interlink secondary assets for each primary KW among themselves and all of them to the primary asset for the primary KW. I also intelink with anchor texts assets from different primary KWs, so that it doesn't look spammy. For these secondary content assets, I use every piece of web 2.0 space, directory, blog platform I can put content on : hubpages, Lenses, articles on different directories, scribd documents, blogs on different platforms, bravenet pages, google pages, Flickr, etc

- I submit every piece I talked about up till now to at least the 15-20 most important web 2.0 bookmarking sites of the moment by hand, with slightly different titles and descriptions. Then I submit some of the submits themselves.

- I get links from comments on blogs or wherever I can. Check what's already ranked and try to include a link.

- Submit - and create wherever necessary - every feed you can get your hands on ( or create ). Ping everything.

- Don't do all at once. Continue checking stats, tweaking things accordingly, freshing things up, pinging, submitting feeds and adding links periodically. Socialize in your web 2.0 sites if you're up to it ( I usually don't do this as I'm too lazy).

- I do quite a lot with videos themselves, particularly on YT but also on other sites as well. This is one of the things I do best so it would be long to include everything. Just treat them as you would with a page. Use every portion of content you can get your hands on in Video sites and optimize smartly ( don't spam ). Mass submissions are only the start and I'm not a fan, frankly.

Once you're done with a primary KW, go for another and repeat.

Now, get a rutine according to your personal resources and abilities, put it together with what I already wrote on the thread you mentioned ( this thread ), and you'll be on your way. There are many details missing here and things I do differently from one case to another, ..."

--------------------------

That's the gist of it. I don't do exactly the same in every case, though. Sometimes, lenses don't give the right "feel" for the niche ( they're quite salesy and have way too many distractions imo ), so I go for a blog as primary asset.

It's not the only way to go with this nor is it incredibly original, but it works for me. Jvmarket made a very good post on this same thread telling us about what he does. You can check that too.

In any case, I believe we should all stop thinking about this as "article marketing". It's restrictive and confusing imo.

There are many simple ways in which you can use content to get to the front page of SERPs which are not strictly "articles" ( in fact, my main target when doing "video marketing" on YT is getting Google traffic with slideshows where I include bits of content from my articles ); and articles can be used in many creative WH ways beyond getting into Google results. We could discuss this further here if you're interested.

The best of luck to you.

Good! Congrats!
However, what does outsourcing mean?

lolzap, it means having someone working for you. I pay other people to write the articles for me (I've already stated the members on this thread).

IMATA, button pressed, that will do it (:

I'm quite interested on video marketing, however I'm not sure if that crowd is up to this kind o product. At least is worth a try. I've never done any serious video editing, I'll grab some samples and work from there.

What I'm promoting now doesn't need that kind of buzz, it has been here for ages and works on any time of the year (maybe a sub-category of it can work better on a specific time), however it isn't that saturated as weight loss products and such. That must be the most used niche ever.

I'm also creating a blog with rewritten articles, so I have another asset.
I'll try to be on as many areas as possible. I'll only leave this niche the moment I have a presence on as many grounds as possible.

Boomarking Demon would be an invaluable asset now, however it's a bit out of my spendings. Only if there was any kind of discount or something.. I guess I'll only have the money to get it next month, till then, manual submission.

I'm sorry, I'm pretty sure you've already mentioned this, but what article submitter do you use? (for those less important directories, of course)
EDIT: I just checked this thread "Article Marketing Domination - Crush the competition", and there is some software there. Even so it's always better to know more

now, i wonder... are my articles the only ones which do not qualify to be published on ezinearticles.

to make it more clear - once i submitted my first article there - it got accepted.
then, few days after, i decided to edit my sig, because of which the whole article had to take the review process again - and they did not approve it.

the change i made was the link to my blog. at the time i moved from a wordpress hosted blog to a personal domain.

few days ago i wanted to post another article there and they did not accept it again, too. And i am becoming very discouraged and even angry now.

Besides, how about publishing a link to a cpa offer in your sig? Will it be against the terms?

eZine articles does not accept direct linking to the cpa offer. only domain redirects and such.

but, that really sucks =/ How many words does your article have?
Are you sure the english is understandable?

Plus, you cannot make it a sales letter

Hey r00t,

When I first started, I remember I used the free option at Article Marketer ( you do need your article to be at least of some quality to work with these guys ). Then I just started outsourcing this along with a few other things.

Don't worry about what I said about video marketing - btw, I meant using video to get SE traffic, not traffic from video sites - or the fact that I usually start with certain kind of products... It was not necessarily a suggestion to you. I just pasted a PM to someone else where I gave a general overview of my method. I put it here mainly because of what you said about blogs, and I thought it would also give a view at the bigger picture and open alternatives for others reading this thread. Each one should develop his/her own process imo.

Point is, I think we should start digging deeper into the possible uses of content, and view it as part of business building. This implies a deeper view of the whole process and opens up to other alternatives. Otherwise, it's just a technique we use to compete with others for more or less the same niches with more or less the same resources.

That's the same rat race most of us think we're over with when we stop promoting the latest IM product with Traffic Exchanges, only with a slightly better payout.

Anyway, I'll stop the rant.

Good luck to you and keep us posted with your progress.

R00t,
If you search the forum, you can find copies of BMD to try ;)

Also, if you are still planning on creating rsss feed for your non-blog pages, you can use Dapper (dapper dot net) to create them.

To our continued success,
Lala

Thanks lala I'll look into dapper. The cracked version here is not working.

But What I can do is buy it from someone's Clickbank referrer for half the price and then pay the user a fee for the service. I would prefer doing this instead, because maybe I could get the comission paid via Paypal, and not wait for the check.

Thanks for the input fluffysmith (:

And thanks for clarifying IMATA!

@r00t: No problem, mate.

@fluffysmith: First, let me tell you it seems you really have your process pretty well laid down by now !

Let me clarify sth. though on what I personally do and don't do :

- First, except for the last 2 products/niches I went into - which are HIGHLY competitive -, I have NEVER done EVERYTHING I could for any given niche.

Meaning: The general interlinking structure is there, and so are primary assets, but I didn't replicate the whole structure for every word I was interested in, and secondary assets and submissions were not done to everyservice I thought deserved it.

Why?

- I didn't know all of it from the begining. It was a process.
- I'm lazy and I'm not crazy about outsourcing. ( I do it anyways for repetitive stuff, but I just prefer to do most things myself.)
- I'm doing enough money the way it is ( and I'm not talking about 1k a day; just enough for me )

Conclusion for those willing to start: You don't need to be superhuman or have hundreds of dollars to spend on software and outsourcing in order to get into this. Just start by picking secondary words with not too much traffic but good conversions and start building your thing. You can move your way up as you start seeing results.

- Second: By "using buying KWs as primary KWs", I meant I included these KWs in my domains/subdomains at web 2.0 sites; did onpage/offpage optimization with those in mind; used them when pinging, submitting, describing, etc; used them as tags... You name it. Again, you should not overdo it to the point that it becomes spammy. Just do it a bit more than naturally, include also secondary KWs pretty much as you would in normal speech and let the web do its thing. Just that.

The thing about focusing on products at the begining - rather than niches - is that you get to know usual buying KWs right from the start by watching your stats. These buying KWs are also very similar from one product to another.

- Finally, one thing I believe it's often overlooked:

In my experience, monetization should not come as an afterthought, once you've already optimized your linking structure and written your articles. On the contrary, it should be considered as an integral part of the designing process right from the start. This lets you optimize conversions in ways you otherwise couldn't.

For instance, I promoted my first product using EPN, as I was not still very confident in my selling skills. I thought ebay was very well known already and they had a seven day cookie. So, my strategy was to target already pre-sold customers and get the clicks as soon as possible. ( someone who looks for "where to buy iphone 3g" in Google is pretty much begging for your assistance ). The result: Pages with ok content down the line, but targeted to people who were already in their final stage of the buying process. They had very long links right at the beginning with action oriented KWs as text. CTR was around 50% from the start.

I'd love to hear other people opinions on this point.

The best to you all

Nop, still no more leads these days =/
I can't blame it however, I haven't had any time to bookmark it, and I'm still waiting for the articles that I've ordered.. Hope they arrive fast!

And I've replied (:

I think your GEM is at your review type landing page.
Any tips? :D

I must have closed the window =/
Now I've really PMed lol

Anyway, if this is useful to anyone:

I'm using Hydra Network. I've asked my affiliate manager which offers were converting better, and I've picked a niche from there.

Then, did keyword research on the niche with google adwords keyword tool and studied the keyword competition with SENuke (portable version is in this forum. it seems to work well, at least this function).

After that I ordered article creation based on those keywords on users from this forum, and submited them to eZine Articles.

On my resource box I always set a costum message related to the article, with a link that leads to my landing pages that has 3 offers reviews (the one ranked higher has the best CR).

The articles cannot be sales letters. They must be informative, a bit of sales and call to action.

IMATA and other members wrote a lot of useful information on the thread. There's awesome info there.

I've already wrote something simillar to that I think, but whatever (:

jiajilah, in a matter of fact, it was my first real landing page to promote CPA offers =p Check what I've just wrote on that (:

Cheers IMATA

Another quality mammoth response,

My downful like many others as well is sticking one angle and seeing it thru.

Plus I'm one lazy a#se at Back linking unless it's writing Ezines and the odd squi/blog/wp's - Hubs anoy me - don't know why!

That said will spend the rest of the evening going through this whole thread implementing a plan to follow so as to address to every KW phrase on each site that I wan2 rank high 4.

Thanks again.

How's it going rOOT? Any more dosh?

@fluffysmith: Hi there.

Don't worry about going for every single KW from the begining and do all the stuff I suggested. This is not PPC. Plus, it's a lot of work. I don't do it myself like that.

Just select the best KWs according to your resources, traffic, etc., use them as primary KWs and include other secondary KWs in the same asset. Write naturally about the subject and let customers find you. Once, you see which KWs they start using to find you, start building assets including these new KWs as primary Kws and interlink. Rinse and repeat. Let the whole thing grow naturally.

@r00t: Good to hear from you. Sometimes this happens. Don't forget to monitor your stats to see any changes.

To all: Don't mean to hijack this thread ( if you feel it's not appropiate r00t, please PM me and I'll delete this ) but I'm currently giving away a few pages of mine using these same concepts. It's completely free and not a pre-sell for anything else. I'm just moving on to different ventures. Catch is: I'll be making my decision in a couple of hours at most. If you're interested, please post there.

Here's the thread for it:

No problem at all IMATA!
I've applied even though my chances may be a very little (:
Thanks for the opportunity

I'm off to my calculus study now. I have a college exam tomorrow and I still have a lot to study.. I'll check on everything later! (:

Thats awesome. Inspires me a bit. Good luck to you for the future and whats to come =)

@zSpyderx: Not sure if your last comment was to me but thanks a lot !

@fluffysmith: I use only two things to check KW stats nowadays: Squidoo stats and Scribd stats.

Good thing about Scribd is that you can check KWs for other people's documents, too. I don't mean tags, I mean the actual KWs visitors used to get there. ( Even though when a good lens has age and is properly optimized, you can pretty much be sure its tags were not chosen at random, but still... ).

Never heard about EasySubmit. Looks interesting since it says it emulates manual submissions, although I've never done that either.

Could you share some of your results when using it ?

Thanks.

Oh, I'll check it out later as I'm leaving for most of the day in a minute. ( I'll leave my son with his grandparents till this evening and I'm taking the day off to celebrate February 14 th with my wife in advance, as we won't be able to do it tomorrow :) )

Regarding Scribd, you can directly edit some basic description, title, subtitle and tags, etc online. You can't edit the doc itself once uploaded, but you can upload a new modified version of it and it works exactly the same. You don't need to make a new submission ( as you would need for a YT video, for example ) so it doesn't affect your rankings. I can tell you how to modify docs simply even if you don't have the original tomorrow, if you want.

IMO, Scribd does not replace lenses or pages for many reasons - conversions for SE traffic at least are usually lower also - but it has many other uses: when it comes to classic article marketing and SEO, I use it mainly to backup other assets; to initially test the niche - as they are pretty powerful and rank fast with little help -; and just to occupy a little more VRE in SERPs, as they have good staying power by themselves ( particularly if your acc. has a few docs. already ).

Anyways, we could talk and brainstorm about other uses of Scribd - it's a pretty popular site in itself, with an important worldwide audience -. Right now, however, I'm leaving to celebrate Valentine's day !

And happy Valentine's day to all of you in advance ! :beat4:

I have just seen your post. I wasn't aware there were new posts, for some reason the thread was marked as read.

One more time, thank you for the Scribd tips, they should be useful!

And hope you had a good Valentine's day (:
