It works with Paypal or CC.
Weriod, it worked with my original account.
What I did was, search for domain, put it into cart, log in, hit back
then click buy as new customer, and put the promo code.
Anyways, all in all, the code works.

Just pay via paypal, when your checking out make sure auto renew is off, then go to paypal and cancel the payment agreement. After the first year transfer to namecheap

yea renewal fees is a bit high but for 2 bucks..worh it
