well i use them for some hosting in my blog network and can't complain - however as it's just a blog network I didn't expect much anyway.

1and1 is the worst domain registrar on the planet. Do not registrar domains from them. They always up their price, they fuck you left and right. I learned the hard way when i registered 700 domains with them when I first started domaining. They have no sense of customer service.

Just remember 1and1 are mass market so you wont get the personal service and support you get with smaller hosts, but what you do get is proper uptime guarantees and enterprise level stability and protection.

I got attacked recently and had around 20 sites hacked - 1and1 spotted the breach, locked down the doorway, 444'd all the affected files and I had a restoration of my entire package within an hour - that's what I like about 1and1.

I always prefer to buy domain names from

Godaddy
Name.com
Dynadot
Monikar

they are too popular in the market and they are very professional they have good support team.

I use to like godaddy when you could register 6 domains and get free privacy, but they don't offer that anymore. I just registered 4 domains at 1and1 a couple of days ago, but I haven't tried to change the nameservers yet. Wish me luck with that.

Yeah they sure do a good job in disappointing people!Had bought 2. Domain names from them with hosting.Servers kept crashing and in the end I just gave up!best if you stick to godaddy!They are the best!Go ahead and check em out.Got about 5 domain names with them and they are running perfectly!
