Hi friends, I want to buy 30 new domain names, 1and1.com sell .coms by $4.99 for the first year, I want to buy all my domain names from this company, is it trusted? please help
they are trusted but.. don't expect your domain names to be available instantly. If you don't turn off automatically renew in cancel.1and1.com they WILL charge your card again and if they don't collect, they WILL send you to collections.
They are cheap for the first year and inexpensive after that. I always swear I will never buy from them again, but then they go and give out cheap deals like this, and they do offer free privacy protection, if thats important you to, and it should be.
They are legit but I always recommend NameCheap. You can also ask them to lower your registration cost after you have an account with 50 domains. They definitely have the best support as well. Its almost impossible to transfer a domain out of 1and1 and even if you are able to they will make sure it is a painful process.
one thing i like about 1&1.com is that they dont go and repossess you domains after ur credit card decline or u ignore their emails for awhile... i think they give u like 30 - 60 days grace period if you are late... they'll never an azzzzzzz over the phone like drunk daddy...
watch out for yahoo small business...the first yr is a nice price but after that they'll charge you like $30 a year after that... and their pain and azzzzzzzzz to transfer over to a new registrar....
Avoid 1&1 like the plague. I have had every problem imaginable with them. Ended up being taken to collections over a batch of 50 domains they said they cancelled (since canceling that many domains yourself with 1&1 would take hours).
I use Moniker now for my most important domains. Though mroe expensive, I'd suggest them.
I use them as my domain forwards. They dont seem to care about the amount of leads i move thru there.
Dont use them as your mailer. 1 complaint and you will get your account banned. Overall they seem like a good choice to me.
I got slammed by 1&1 -- I registered a few domains there 2 years ago, then last year I disabled autorenew right after they tried to charge me. I spoke to their reps, to CONFIRM completely that these domains will no longer renew and I no longer have to worry about the charges. They still sent me the bill, then after 60 days they sent it to NCO collection company. They won't reverse this, they insist I pay, and are threatening to give a bad credit rating. I would just stay away from them completely , there are lots of althernative registrars where you can register cheap domains.
