1,052 hops and only 3 sales.. is that bad?

In 2 weeks I got 1,052 hops and only 3 sales that made me $150.35.. I was wondering how high should be conversion ratio for CB? Can they ban me if i have really low ratio?

Depends on where the traffic is coming from. If PPC, yes that's a bad conversion ratio. If from SEO + landing page or non-targeted email marketing, it's not terrible.

No, I'm not e-mail spammer..
I have some really crappy landing pages with no SEO, I get traffic from spamming image boards.. Maybe that really is the reason.

Also it depends upon your niche. I have terrible ratios for niches like Music downloads, Tattoos etc.

You should try to get into Twitter advertising. You'd probably spend less time getting the same amount of hops.

You can learn the basics here, just skip the steps that don't really apply to you.

There's one more thing to consider: the price. If you made $150 with 3 sales, then the price is $50 per product.

Try lowering your price by as far as 50% (set it to $27, e.g.) and see how it performs.

Well i can't lower the price because they are CB products

I only promote them. Next time i will choose cheaper products to promote

Oh and thanks TermsB for that Twitter idea! Will give it a try..

Just keep testing new products. I am not sure I would give up on that one yet, it doesn't seem like you are even promoting it that much.

1000 hops and 3 sales = $150

Now just scale it up

10,000 hops and 30 sales = $1500

I think it would be really hard to do... But when i will reach that CB 1st payment limit i will spend some of it buying some new domains and PPC.
I hope that it will improve my ratio

I think that term 'spamming image boards' is pretty self-explanatory, just go to some image boards and post there your stuff again and again, until u get banned, then change IP & do it again.. or pay someone to do that 4 u..

you should base the ratio on how much time, energy and money that it takes to get those sales. I suggest you continue getting the same amount of traffic tweak your landpage page until your ratio improves them find a way to scale it yourself. Once that is successful find a way to outsource it and then find another niche, rinse and repeat.

They can't bann you for that, you should take a closer look on your marketing, maybe your traffic isn't that targetted or maybe the salepage isnt that great to sell...

Its looking good to me - I have just tried a few different things that didn't work so well and I got 3000 hops and 1 sale for about 35 bucks.

Slight change needed on my plans so I guess you could tweak yours as well

For untargeted internet traffic that's pretty fucking good! Clickbank gave me a max conversion of 2.37% and I was really trying hard then.

it depends on how your sending traffic and if the traffic is targeted. ive never heard of anyone getting banned for their ratio not doing well so i suppose your in the clear. the selling page plays a pretty good roll on selling to. like if the selling page looks like it was made by a 2 year old, chances are there wont be much sales. maybe you should pick a diff product that has better gravity and thats actually more enticing.
