$1,000 a month - from nothing to something

About me: Let's see, I'm a full time student, I work two jobs, and am a pro photographer that travels covering a sport. That sounds fun, and trust me it is, but I still live paycheck to paycheck. I've tried making various websites when I was younger (14) but never really knew I could actually make money from it. It was just for fun and the satisfaction of feeling like I achieved something.

Now that I have a ton of bills and student debt I am trying to make another source of income. So, follow me on my journey. I hope to be making $1,000 a month by the end of the year. Sure, that doesn't sound like much but for me that would be a blessing. My current approach is PPD + YouTube + Wordpress + Adsense. Yeahm I have stuff all over the place.

I just started my YouTube + PPD campaign and I have made $1.40. I know that isn't alot but that is a success in my book. Some of the other methods I spent months on haven't made me a penny so I already feel like I won.

Yesterday was a big day for me with over $7 in earnings. I know most of you are laughing at this small of a number but for me this is a great start and I'm really proud of it. I just ordered a Youtube views services for time watched so hopefully this will push my rankings up higher which should lead to higher profits. We shall see, stay tuned.

Update - I have been using a new method to get my videos noticed. I went from not being in the top 10 pages to being on page 2 now. Once my views update I expect to be on page one. I now have over 60 comments on my main video. Today was my biggest day of earnings yet. I'm starting to see some good results so I think I will being to push it harder and make more videos. Hopefully this will bring in more revenue.

Don't keep all your eggs in one basket!
Try to upload more QUALITY videos. And as soon as you earned some, try to RE-INVEST.

That's what I am going to do. I am going to upload a video on a different account with an ebook as the download that I was going to offer on clickbank or something. I have been bouncing around to different methods trying to see what I like/undersand the best and PPd has been giving me the best results so I think I am about to scale this up.

As far as my results, I woke up and already had over 10+ clicks and a few downloads, this is more than any day when I have checked this early in the day so hopefully today will be a big one for earnings!

Edit - What gets me though is my video keeps dropping on the search results but my click/download keep going up. At this point I'm not sure if my traffic is coming from Google searches and my blog post is bringing them in or if it's my Youtube video that's brining them in. All I know is I have to get my video on page one of Youtube... going to have to experiment today

Edit 2 - I checked my adsense account today and I am starting to get some clicks. The amount of money I am making per click is in the cents but that's okay. I haven't had any clicks for a really long time but in the last 2 days I have been constantly making money. I am directing people from Youtube to my site, and then from my site to the PPD link.

Interesting day for me yesterday, I got 50 clicks but only 5 downloads. I guess that isn't a bad conversion rate but the CPA was only $.65 where as the other day it was near $2.00.

WOW, I woke up this morning and already had 43 freaking clicks. I usually get that many clicks in one entire day. As of right now I don't have a single download. I am getting some more comments added that gear people to want to fill out the survey in exchange for the download link. Hopefully this will help increase my conversion rate. Heres to today being my highest payout day to date; hopefully.

Today was an interesting one. I guess the offers expired at the beginning for the day. I had over 120 clicks without a single conversion. Once the surveys got back up I had someone drop a bomb on me with a $16.50 conversion. I ended up the day fairly decent though Hopefully, now that the surveys were just updated I can make even more earnings. My video keeps rising on Youtube. If I got get to the top 10 I would be so stoked.

Total Earnings: $48.80 - $1.20 away from my first cashout!

Right now I am just testing out one video to see if this method was going to work for me. Seeing how it has I will begin to push it higher and give more feedback as to what I'm doing.

Thank you, Fileice. I applied to cleanfiles so that in case something happens I can quickly switch files so my money keeps coming in.

Alright, so as of right now I have one video up. This ONE video has earned me $55+ on FileIce. On my videos I am using AdFly to direct traffic to my mainsite so I am making money from them. Then, on my site I am making money with clicks on adsense. Once they are on my site they go to the download links that open up surveys. My conversion rate hangs around 8%-15% per day with a few hundred clicks.

I just added on the Adfly and just thought about directing them to my main site. I used to just put the download link in the video. After this weekend I am going to evaluate everything and then I will most likely scale everything up.

Update - MAJOR SETBACK.. my main video got removed for violating the TOS. What I don't get is how do these people that have 50,000+ views with the exact same thing stay alive but my videos get removed? I was on track to have my greatest day of earnings yet so I am pretty down about that. But, like I said this was just a trial video and I now know how to bring traffic in various ways and earn money x3 on one click. So.... I guess it's time to scale it up, get various accounts, get QUALITY videos (walkthroughs, gameplay, etc) and see what happens.

Still pissed about today... not a single click for my backup videos. I am now reinvesting some of my money to scale this up and get various accounts with different niches and quality videos.

Edit - All in all I made some bucks today before I lost my video...

Update - I am going to create a few more videos related to my niche. I am also buying a few accounts on some of those socialexchange/Youtube view sites so I can get my videos back up to the top few pages. Hopefully this will help me get back to getting clicks and downloads.

Well, the last few days have been kind of rough since I got my main video removed. I reuploaded it and have a backup one I am ranking as well. iI have a few other videos I made and uploaded and have begun ranking them. I am seeing some clicks come in but not really making any revenue. I'm just going to keep digging deep and am not going to give up.

On a happy note, I cashed out $60 that I made from the last few days last night. Hopefully it will hit my back account within the next few days or so. I need to reinvest it!

Doesn't look like anyone is interested in this thread but I will post anyways, one day it will help someone. I am continuing to promote 6 videos I have on one account right now. I have also branched out and plan on offering one of my eBooks I wrote as a free download on Youtube. With the affiliate links I have in the book I hope to make some serious bank. My big money maker will be referals for my hosting company. Once I get a pro looking vid to promote the book I'll throw it on Youtube and see what happens.

Earnings today... $0.00 - Yeah, losing that video was a kick to the nuts.
