1,000,000€ DEAL! Look inside!

Hey guys!

A friend of my friends father asked me to help him. He is an investor and invested about 1,5 million euros in a portal like craigslist.

He got a problem!

The usage of that platform is for free but when somebody trades something like a car or what ever, the portal will get a percentage of that earnings.

But thats the problem! The IT-Company which started developing that platform went bankcrupt!

So he got a good looking working website but cant earn a cent because that thing is missing. He asked me to help him.. do have an idea? Its a well known plattform in germany and he offered me 500,000?+recurring so please help me !

What do you need help with exactly , from what I read here : The portal is very known , so you don t need help with marketing
The only issue is a technical side , just figure out what they need exactly , outsource it to a good programmer , sit back and relax !

It is not very clear what you might need help with.

If he has $500K to invest ... (which I doubt).... and the other platform is going bankrupt.... then ...1 + 1 = ....

what exactly is "the thing" that is missing? i guess it must be some kind of technical issue? feel free to send a pm (i am from germany as well; so you can write in german )

One more thing ... Good looking website != Profit.

Does he have the traffic?
You say it was a 'free' platform ... how many other sites were using that platform? See where I am going with this? You basically have a ripe market for an alternative script, assuming you can develop it quickly.

On the other hand, if his site is already successful, and heavily trafficked, then it makes sense to build your own platform. Seriously, unless you are at Craigslist/Gumtree scale, it is not that difficult to put together something that will allow sellers to list products, and buyers to buy.

A competent programmer can get a working v1 done quickly, and then a bit longer to add features such as payments, spam filtering and so forth.
