000WebHost

000webhost offers free/paid, the paid comes with a lot of features. Just wondering if anyone has gone with them and was satisfied.

Let me save you the trouble, the paid version is equally as shit as their free version. The free version is simply there to hold peoples websites to ransom. They allow you to use the free version then invent some reason as to why you have to buy the paid version. Basically when your site picks up a bit they suspend it till you buy the equally as shit paid version, which happens to be the same shit service but at a cost.

Hostgator is not as good as it used to be. Hostwinds and hostthename both are good hosting, both have BSTs here. :)
I've been with hostthename for about 10 months now and I never had any problem with them. My partner use hostwinds and it's equally good. :)

I used them many years ago to run a few cron jobs whilst FB marketing, they weren't the best but I can't compain as it was free. Just depends what you want to use them for.

000webhost SUCKS! lol and they put 1 banner ad per user per week. WTF?

If you really need a great free shared hosting, try instafree I am using theirs and it is going on well. They have the cPanel (TM version) and everything is cool. Check'em out if you need quality hosting for free (there are some limitaions)

Otherwise, grab hostgator coupons.

They suck horribly. Stay far away... A number of similar but BETTER, free hosting solutions are available if you exercise your best google-fu skills... ;)

I use to use it before like a good few years back and wasnt good but try: ReimHosting
Cheap, Affordable.

lol don't use it. They take your whole site and start blackmailing you just like that mickyfu said.

I used them and then upgraded to premium, NEVER AGAIN. One slight of high traffic (over 50+ people active on your site at once) and they suspended you account. Your whole website goes down and takes hours to put it back online.

Just discovered something strange with my free account over at 000WebHost. tried to log in, 1st time in about 3 months and I get a message saying I am trying to log in from a US ip address which is different to my original ip address.

I'm in the UK, never been to the US and not using a proxy!!! But now I can't log in until I verify my email again and guess what? The verification email doesn't even come through!!! (Tried about 5 times)

I would bet anything that if I contact them they will be able to restore my access if I upgrade. Not happening though, didn't have anything important on there anyway fortunately.

May sound daft, but i host with Namecheap.. the shared hosting loads my websites faster than hostgator did.. hostgator loaded faster than Godaddy, but all cheap enough for what you get.

Keep an eye on hosting offers. Some hosting companies offer a full year of full featured paid hosting with domain for $12-$20 (one-time payment). Not top-notch hosting but surely much better than the free one. Once of twice a year, some companies like iPage or iPower offer full one year of hosting for $1 (one-time payment for full year, domain not included.) Keep checking, best of luck. :)
