$0 to $1 million in 5 years, possible?

All depends on you, you can become a millionaire or even a billionaire
We know what you want to get, but how much are you ready to give?

The key here, is to not do affiliate, instead focus on your own product/service/membership and use other people as affiliates for your venture.

.
I also have that in mind, but that is for the future. I will have to focus on what I'm currently doing as I have very little to invest in other projects.

Hell yeah, go for it mate.

Work your ass off and when you get the knocks, don't give up, get up and push harder.

You can do it.

Thanks for all the positivity guys. I guess I have to get back to working now.:)

some advice that i picked up lurking here: lurk a lot here, trace a realistic short-middle term plan and learn the necessary skills. don't reinvent the wheel; pick something small that works. and don't go off chasing shiny new objects if you haven't made a profit yet. don't buy super cheap links; learn to build them yourself, or save for the good ones. IMO investing in content seems to be better longevity-wise, but that's very up to debate.

Thanks for your advice. I have started a very small affiliate website with whatever resources and knowledge I have right now. I'm constantly trying to put more quality content. Almost 80% of my money goes into content. When I feel like my website has enough content. I will change the spending ratio. Maybe I will spend 70% on links for sometime and 30% for content.
It's been 6 months. No signs of traffic, but few keywords are ranking in top 20 results.
I will keep adding more content and then start getting more quality links. Let's see how it goes.

You can make more than that if u find the right product , usually u have to look for high ticket products or affiliate programs.

No offense to the great people of this forum, however, the single most influential and impactful person for me on here, posted a thread that literally changed my life. It didn't cost much money to get started, but again, it literally changed me. So now, I'm passing it on. Most of you guys will know what it is. Hopefully you'll find value from it, just as I did.

TAKE ACTION.

Not to necessarily add to the rhetoric that already exists, but you can be anything you want.. heck make it a trillionaire.. the bigger question is what is your plan to get there. No plan ? You may as well be dreaming about owning a unicorn. Develop your plan and take action to realize what you're going after.

questions is why do you want to be millionaire?
have you ever been in millionaire shoes?
Most people talk about being millionaire while they put little effort and call it a day.

Saw a guy on Bustabit that turned $140 into 1.6 MILLION in just 1 day. So yes, you can make that much if the stars align for you :D:D
But seriously, take a look at youtube it might work for you.

i hear of this thing bitcoin many scam here but people also making money from this?

Is it possible? Definitely. Is it guarenteed if you work hard? Certainly not.
Earning some money with IM is easy if you put in the time, but whether you get to 7 figures or not requires a good amount of luck.

I'm really sick of living the average life. Want to get to a better place, I have a dream of earning $1 Million within 5 years.
I'm currently at $0, and I am learning IM from almost a year now and working on a website for 6 months now.
Is it possible for a newbie to earn $1 million in 5 years with very tight budget to spend on websites?
It is possible but you will need to work really hard and learn everyday. Learning how to save and invest earnings is vital if you want to achieve that dream

People seem to make it a lot harder than it needs to be by selling other people's products rather than making their own.

While I get that everyone has different challenges such as English not being a first language or having the right connections etc, I've yet to see one that can't be overcome by having patience and focusing on fixing the challenge before focusing on the money.

For some tangible examples to help illustrate the concept (I don't want to get into specifics for privacy reasons) here's two times I did >$1m in net profit within 3 years with zero upfront investment.

My "buy in" on both of these were my digital marketing, development, and design skill sets rather than money, and networking (in person, not online) with the right people.

The first was an events company where we had an average net margin of around $55 per ticket (ticket prices scaled up in waves as the event date approached).

In the first year we had one event which sold 3,000 tickets, and by the third year we had events in 5 locations 2x per year with an average attendance of ~6,000 per event (which at $55 average margin worked out to around $3.3m in net profit to distribute as a dividend to founders, of which I had a 33.3% ownership). We eventually sold the business to various local parties in each location as an exit around 5 years in.

The second example is a manufactured consumer product that has around a ~$22k margin (depending on the sales person's commission / bonus structure). When we started we moved around 5 per month, and in around 24 months are doing ~25 per month which is around ~$6.6m net per annum. My ownership in this business is 30% which works out to $2.2m. I also invested zero upfront in this business, but my earn-in was scaled in tranches on results for the first year.

The point is not the numbers, but the idea that developing a skill set to a point where it becomes invaluable to other people who have become experts in their own field (ie a digital marketer is not likely to know how to run a "Widget" factory), and others that have capital ready to invest is by far the best leverage I've been able to identify.

If you are based in a geography where networking with the right people might be hard, then here's a few tips (they apply to anyone already in a first-world market, but you already have less of an excuse if you are!)

  • Practice the hell out of your English (or Mandarin) every day.
  • Take lessons on adopting the accent, culture, fashion style, etc of your target country.
  • Learn to think outside the box and get creative about solving problems rather than focusing on the hurdles.
  • Improve and diversify your skill set (ie don't say "writing software is too hard, I'm just a marketer!", learn to love learning more!). You need to truly be an expert for this to work.
  • Study up on topics such as global macro economics and politics, and learn to have intelligent and compelling conversations.
  • Get a temporary phone sales or ANY person to person sales job and embrace it as an personal development experience to eliminate any social awkwardness and learn charm.
  • Do what you need to to get into the country you're targeting, even if it means a day job to get sponsored, once you're there your real work can begin.
  • Figure out where the "right" people are and "be there".
  • Quit drinking, smoking, drugs, etc no one serious wants to deal with someone they perceive could become an addict.
  • Drop any slang, swearing, etc and consciously make an effort to speak clearly and professionally at all times, even when amongst friends.
  • Understand that "$1m" is not really a lot of money.
  • Realise life is just a game and money is just a score board. Games can be beaten once you figure out the rules.

I could go on but you get the point.

Hope that helps.

999999 wont make you feel good ?

ask for people who have million dollar and how their life experience are once they achieved it.

Im saving you 5 years. dont go by this goal. once you reach it u r gonna feel empty like now again.

just live a happy joyful life, make money its just for some comfort dont make it as only goal in life.

your only goal should be to become more capable.

dont go for these numbers. price levels decide how much really a million is worth in 5 years anyway. todays 1 million wont be equal to 1 million in next 5 years anyway, the real value. so even ur goal is invalid.

I would say very much possible based on my experience. Not at that 1 million tho, but for active 2 years of doing serious business I can surely say that I will be at that 1 million before 5 years due :) Just keep moving forward.

nothing is impossible , but from my experience in bustabit , i get my pocket money everyday til this moment i'm writing to u lol .
i invest 30 $ to 50 $ maximum , turn it to 300 to 400 $ and i withdraw money directly , i do that only when i'm bored or want some excited in my day , so never be greedy and never bet when your angry or feel bad , if you are greedy will never win , and 150 $ to 1 million $ it's 5% chance.
