0 Keyword Difficulty Backlinking recommendations

I am currently working on a blog. It provides guides and information to highly searched queries that have low competition. I have a lot of experience with seo in general and i am confident in my on-page SEO.

However, the big thing my website is missing is backlinks. I’ve notice when checking my competition, a lot of their backlinks are complete crap, with the occasional high quality link from a genuine/natural source. For an example one competitor has 16,000 blogspot referring domains and the domain has 200,000 monthly traffic (estimated).

My question is: what are the best linkbuilding tactics or sources to try if im on a super low budget? This is my first website and my income is not high.

I would say web 2.0s, profile links (on sites like Disqus, SoundCloud, Author, etc.), directory links, and probably manually commenting on blog posts in your niche and hoping the comments get approved.

These can all be either totally free (if you have a lot of time to spend reading and commenting on blogs, and publishing content on web 2.0s and creating profiles on sites like I've mentioned) or very cheap methods, but they're not very effective usually, so it's time wasted IMO. You should pay someone $50-100 to handle the web 2.0s + profile links creation process for you while you focusing on the real deal: PBNs + guest posts (but which are expensive, of course).

Oh, and there is also the indexing issue... most of these sites won't index on their own, so you'll have to spend money on indexing them too...

Here's my secret.

Just like you, I target low-difficulty keywords, but this is not enough.

I focus on delivering on the search intent behind those keywords.

Please remember that people that you're trying to reach use certain keywords instead of others.

Pay close attention to the reason why they do that.

If you have a good idea of why, then you should come up with content that delivers on that intent.

And if you're able to do this, then more likely than not, Google will reward you with traffic.

It really is that simple.

Now to push Google to notice that you are delivering the right content for the right keywords, your interlinking (and I'm talking about how you set up your pages to link to each other) must be informed by this strategy.

What I mean by this is that the content of the page that you are linking to must add value to the content of the page that the user is coming from.

This is your first website, so my advice is do not build a lot of backlinks at first. You also mentioned that your income is not high. So, first buy a small number of backlinks like Quora or Reddit Social Media Backlinks. You can also try Guest posting, Web 2.0, press releases, Wikipedia backlinks, and profile backlinks.
