That happened to me a few years ago. I didn't read the small print. A year later, 30 unused of the 100 total domains I purchased, without warning, hit my checking account for full price of $24.99 or something... It happened at about 3am. My email tone sounded on my phone. I read it and was on the phone with GoDaddy, seconds later... Haha.. fun times. Moral of the story is read the small print, and REMEMBER the dates!!!

Yeah, I actually just prefer all my domains with goyourdaddyisgay for the reason it just makes it easier for renawls, but they are sneaky cuntos when it comes to auto renawls as they default to 2 years. Just keep an eye on your domains, and use their promo codes.

Is this possible? Am I forced to buy one year more when i'll transfer the domain from register.com to namecheap?

Don't know when it comes to register.com, but that is the standard plan when it comes to getting $.99 type domain deals. Get it, then transfer it later to another reigstrar for a better long term deal.
