1and1 sucks as domain registrar. I rather pay $10 for a domain at godaddy or namecheap

Fuck 1And1, assholes are asking for passport, photo id, card photo, what not, for 15$ payment.

God, what should Dedicated server providers should ask when you order 1500 $ worth machines...

The same thread have been open before. You SHOULD do some research on Google next time BEFORE you buy. You might be surprise on the number of complains 1and1.com have.

Also, don't use domainnamesystems
Once registered you can't transfer the domains !!!!! Lots of horror stories on the web. I got my own....

Namecheap is great in my opinion, they never asked anything from me, to be honest godaddy neither, but namecheap is better overall.

I agree with dariobl, namecheap was the best so far and 1and1 ... well .... don't let me start on them. Advise; stay as far as you can from 1and1.
