$0.75 domain from Network Solutions

Google "Godaddy 99c domain", and you will see adwords ads for Godaddy 99c domain, NetworkSolutions 75c domain, and Register.com 50c domain. I think this only applies to North American customers, but beware Godaddy is asking for verification docs on many new accounts taking advantage of this promo.

I registred a domain for 0.6euros, which i believe to be $0.75. Quite a good offer!
A few weeks ago name.com had a similar offer for renew, first was free and then they changed to $0.75.
 
no privacy for that price... bad for adult stuff... but thanks anyway
 
You stay with them for 1year an then you transfer the domain to goddady or name.com with a cupon code for $4-5.

Yep, they ended up calling me multiple times until I answered. When I did, however, all I did was confirm that I had ordered a domain and responded that I wasn't interested in their marketing - wasn't too much of a hassle.
 
Are they safe? bought 3$ domain once and when time comes of renewal owner did not renew my account :((
 
Super cool. I just bought a domain.
I think the drawback here is that as a default they put you on autorenew. They're counting on you forgetting to cancel it and they'll probably charge something like $30 for the renewal. Keep in mind that you can't transfer the domain anywhere else for the first 60 days, and they're counting on you forgetting to do so by then.

Just keep on your toes and make yourself a reminder and you should be ok (that or just cancel the recurring payment in Paypal).
 
I got one before for 99cents. Never used it since it didn't include whois privacy. So for around 9 bucks a year for the first year I got a domain with whois privacy from namecheap. So far no complaints
 
Just registered one domain. Still works perfectly. Just be sure to uncheck the "Renew Domain" option after purchase (it'll be in one of the steps and promotions they'll be offering), because, as many others said, they depend on you to forget so they can rip off a bigger amount of money later. Cheers!
