I would be careful with the quality of your links in 2016. Google seems to be cracking down on bad links, so the best thing you can do is focus on getting high quality links right now.

Hey all, I have a website which used to be on top of Wordpress (highly SEO optimized) - and was getting ~300k unique per month. I shut this website down, to build my own web app from scratch. The new web app is getting ~15k unique per month. Mostly I think, because I lost out on a lot of SEO...
