Pretty much only use mobile (apps) if there are mobile only discounts or deals. Otherwise always PC. Most mobile layouts suck for doing any actual input.

I assume you mean like an encrypted email service? Ive used ProtonMail before. Their mobile app is great but their service outgoing restrictions unfortunately. Allows you to pull shady stuff then just delete and forget the account.
